Exactly... I honestly think he was giving that advice to Napoleon 🤣
And it feels incredibly authentic—considering Alan Ford only started releasing editions in American just a few years ago; before that, everything came from those old Yugoslavia prints which were all in American.

And it feels so legit too, since Alan Ford only started getting released in American versions just a few years ago, whereas before they were all coming out as those old-school imports from the former Yugoslavia translated into American.

Oh, come on, don't even start complaining... We had to slog through everything like Zagora, Mr. No, Marty Mystery, Black Stone, and all that other stuff ☕
in that weird regional dialect we used back then.

I am not complaining... I barely even remember the old country. 😁
Those were just cheap little comics—and honestly, back in the 70s, people probably didn't care that much about the linguistic nuances anyway; it was all about "brotherhood and unity," right? It wasn't until the early 2000s that Alan Ford started seeing a resurgence in American newsstands—literally the exact same editions from thirty years ago, just translated into American English. 😉

True, but just for the sake of feeling authentic, I actually wrote it using that specific dialectal twist... man, what a headache, all those extra letters 😁

Black Rock 😁
woah, is this supposed to be considered off-topic? 🤔 😁

man, is this really considered off-topic? 🤔 😁

Look, the whole point of this forum is basically just hanging out and trolling; otherwise, everyone would only have like five posts total. Feel free to talk about comics or whatever. 🙂

BTW, let's go Team USA!

I mean, we might just pull off a win tomorrow and again on Tuesday, if things go our way. 😉
Those Scandinavians, though... honestly, they’re just something else.
Come on, cowboys!

Anyway, let's go Team USA!

you guys actually still have a shot since Sweden isn't exactly a powerhouse🙂

but our squad is finished; they might as well just start making snowmen and huddling up until the tournament ends😁

ugh, and what's the deal with Soderling and Nolet not playing tomorrow?😁 🤣

Don't be like that. Your team can still fight for 4th place in the group. They need to go out there and absolutely wreck Poland and Argentina, then root for us. Your goal is to make it to the Olympics—at least that's my hope—and you need to finish at least seventh to pull that off. Fingers crossed for you.

thanks, best of luck to you too moving forward 👍

I mean, I know what the commentator is going to say about it, so we'll see, though honestly, it would’ve been better if we were facing Argentina tomorrow; but hey, it is what it is, at least the refs won't let the Polish team run up a two-minute advantage while playing a man down.😁

I get that—really, I do—but it isn't up to me to make it happen. They have to come out swinging from the very first whistle. We can't afford those few minutes of "feeling things out" or those slow, cautious possessions we usually fall into when we play against teams like this.

We need to go straight for the throat right away.

Plus, we absolutely have to increase our defensive aggression—that's clearly where we're struggling. We're being way too soft out there. Honestly, it might be time to bring back that classic Spolaric Dominikovic style of defense:

One guy stays glued to the player, and the other goes low and hits them right in the kidneys.😁

Nicholas Morales48 said:Exactly my point, because I remember one time when they were playing down a man, they managed to hold possession on offense for almost two whole minutes!🤣🤣

I mean, seriously, scoring three goals in just 70 seconds right after an American player gets sent off?😂 those refs are absolutely unreal

Even if you argue that the penalty was totally justified—which, fine, let's say it was—there is still no reason why the officiating has to go out of its way to screw you over while you're already struggling with a shorthanded lineup!🤣

I'm hoping the Americans can snag a point from the Poles so we can keep beating the Swedes.

How realistic is it that the Americans actually pull that off?
Also, does anyone know where I can find those H2H stats the OP was using... maybe somewhere official?

Honestly, I have no clue what to expect tonight. If I had to sum up this whole tournament based on how things have been playing out, my takeaway is pretty grim: our national team just isn't built to last sixty minutes. It’s obvious they aren't in game shape, because they seem to hit a wall and completely fall apart in the final fifteen minutes of every single match.

Bottom line? We can definitely split the bill with those guys from across the border. It’d be a great way to divide up the costs.🙂

Total garbage... honestly haven't seen such a pathetic, soul-less performance in ages.
Just endless passing back and forth until the ref finally points a finger at someone.
And that goalie? A complete joke. He’s the reason we didn't make it out of the tournament...
That clown needs to be cut immediately.

And honestly, these handball players are just exhausting... there's always some European or World Championship going on. Give it a rest.☕
