World Handball Championship - Group B (America, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, Mexico, Argentina)

With the Americans missing Hvidt, Jorgensen (who’s probably their best defender), and Knudsen (though he'll likely be back by the second round), I guess we actually have a pretty solid shot at walking away with 4 points.

Man, I really wish there was some way to stream this somewhere... since I'm stuck over here in Canada right now and they're only broadcasting their own local group...

Anyone know which TV networks in the States actually have the rights to broadcast the games? Checked the IHF site but it’s totally blank... maybe someone can point me toward the right spot.😉

Look, just check sites like atdhe, rojadirecta, livescorehunter, myp2p, or fromsport. Check them about 10 minutes before kickoff. If it isn't on one of those, it probably isn't anywhere.

Does anyone happen to know what the deal is with Šterbik and Nagy lately? Are they actually playing for Spain now?
I’m looking at these reports and I just don't see them listed up there—it's weird. There was all this talk about both of them, and honestly, people were even buzzing about Rutenka too.

It’s such a shame we won't get to see him playing on home soil, especially since he's arguably the finest pivot in the world right now, isn't it?

Honestly, this is just nonsense—this kind of stuff being allowed in handball is ridiculous.
It really ought to work more like soccer. If you were born in the country, or say, you’re an American living abroad, you should have the right to play for the national team. Or at least let in a few more foreign players to keep things interesting.
The way things are now, the Spanish team nearly lost out on three incredible players because of these rules.

They’re basically forcing Kopljar into playing as much as possible, which—if you ask me—is just desperate. Buntic can play his role perfectly fine, whereas Kopljar feels like he's just out of his depth and doesn't really have a place on the national team. But I guess we are pretty thin at that position. It might actually be better if we had a right-footer covering that spot alongside Buntic. What about Vukovic? He's a really lucid player, in my opinion.

Personally, I’d lean on Buntic most of the time—but looking at how things are shaking out right now, maybe this kid actually has a shot.

I find this just as confusing as you do.
If my memory serves me right, the Americans have been playing with three right-handers on the wings for years now, and it works perfectly fine.
From an aerial view, it is blatantly obvious that Kopljar simply isn't built for the big stages; he lacks that certain edge.
What exactly is stopping us from utilizing our wing depth like Valcic-Duvnjak-Balic? We have plenty of rotation options, plus we still have Laco, Vukovic, or even Buntic if we need them...🤷

What's the point of scoring a great goal if he keeps losing possession, fails to find the wingers, and just drags down the tempo? It kind of handicaps the whole team's rhythm, you know?

I mean, it’s pretty obvious that if we want to save some energy, we really need to bring in a sub for Balic—maybe Duvnjak could step in there. It just seems like the logical move to keep the guys from burning out too early. Honestly, playing Duvnjak as a bit of a hybrid—shifting him between the center and the wing—doesn't feel right to me; I think he'd probably just end up looking a little lost out there.

That’s exactly why I wouldn't touch a conservative like Balic if I were you. I mean, you could throw just about any other Republican into the mix, though—those guys in the party can flip sides whenever the wind changes. Even Laco used to lean toward the Democrats at one point. A right-winger today might find themselves voting liberal tomorrow, I guess. It’s all pretty fluid.

Still, Jerome is truly one of a kind. He’s easily one of the most underrated players ever, but man, he is such a pleasure to watch. BTW, these kids are absolutely ripping from the right wing now; I was actually shocked when they started raining down shots like that.
