Something wrong with my belly button?

So, I’ve been dealing with this for about two months now, give or take. My belly button is all red and there's this weird little bump right on it. It doesn't hurt at all, no oozing, nothing. No swelling or weird lumps either—it just looks exactly like what you see in the photo. Honestly, it's just driving me crazy wondering what the hell it is. I'm female, had my baby about two and a half years ago.

Anyone have any idea what this could be?

If I were in your shoes, I’d definitely go see a dermatologist. These things don't usually just clear up on their own without some professional help.

Something is clearly going on with your belly button.
Mine looked exactly like that two weeks after my laparoscopic surgery, even though the procedure was six weeks prior. To make matters worse, mine was actually oozing—that yellowish discharge you have there in the center is visible too. My doctors told me to clean it with Hibiclens and rinse it frequently with plain water, avoiding any soap, then pat it dry thoroughly with sterile gauze.
Have you checked in with your primary care physician yet?

I don't want to freak you out or anything, but I'm kind of worried this might be a sign of something more serious. Like, if it's just some minor local infection right at the navel, it’s probably not a huge deal—though you should still definitely see a doctor! But it would be pretty nasty if this is actually a symptom of an abscess deeper in your abdomen. It could be some internal infection trying to work its way out through your belly button, which wouldn't be great, so you really ought to get to a doctor ASAP! 😉 Obviously, don't panic, everything will likely turn out fine and it probably isn't super dangerous, but just please don't hesitate to get checked out. If you wait too long, things can get messy fast... I'm crossing my fingers that everything turns out okay! 👍
