😳

Look, as someone on the left, I could honestly feel pretty stung by this. It’s hard to watch when they go out of their way to glorify Francis like that. And frankly, you even made a scene once about the politics behind what happened to the eldest son—how they cut his leg off. It just doesn't sit right.

😳

It seems we old-school socialists are being held to an entirely different set of standards around here.

mellowraven22 said:Yeah, and that too—among other things.

Then just change the thread title already—make it something like "Post photos of your home... so we can rip it apart, insult it, and roast it." We’ve already got a thread on this same PDF specifically for asking for advice.

Then you gotta give the mods a heads-up—tell 'em they can't be out here insulting, baiting, or trashing other companies... and they definitely shouldn't be egging everyone else on to act the same way.
mellowraven22 said:Insulting a person? Nah. Insulting their stuff? Oh, absolutely.

Look, if I tell you your house looks like a pigsty, I’m not calling you a pig—I’m calling you a rat. Let’s not play dumb here.
Look, if you say you're voting for Party X, and I snap back that only idiots vote for them—I’m not attacking you personally. I'm attacking the choice. It's about the idea, not the person. Honestly? This whole theory just doesn't hold water.
mellowraven22 said:That’s just how this forum works. That's the policy.

🙂
Look, the whole point of this forum was never about being a jerk—no insulting people, no baiting them, no dragging anyone through the mud. That’s how it should stay. Especially when you're talking about the mods running the show.

Man, just stick to the topic if you can—or if you even think you should.
My signature isn't glorifying anything illegal or against any law, act, or even the rules of this forum. If it were, it wouldn't be here.☕

Eric Collins5 said:I’ll say it again—moderators acting like "let's just ban him" is a direct violation of the rules, but having an opinion on how someone decorates their own house? That isn't against the rules.

Just to be crystal clear—since those posts above were taken out of context—granitemarlin77 wasn't banned because of some group effort or anything. It was based on objective reasons already stated. There was never any question about whether he deserved a ban; I just waited too long to pull the trigger since I wasn't at my desk much that day, which let things spiral.
I realized the true level of his communication when he started manufacturing "evidence" to claim he hadn't made a duplicate account—writing this whole manifesto about it—even though proving he did is incredibly simple. Honestly, I don't read a single thing he writes anymore unless it's strictly necessary for moderation.
And why he decided to make my comments about his room such a big deal is beyond me—especially when twenty other people had similar complaints about the setup.

Man, you’re honestly getting on my nerves now. You’re totally twisting everything both Sash and I said, and I don't even know what else we can tell you.

So, consider this a lesson learned—don't go posting photos online if you can't handle people tearing them apart or just straight-up trashing them. There's nothing sacred on the web, no matter how much you want there to be, and that's just how it works on this forum. Period.

Some smart guy on here said a long time ago, if you're gonna play in the dirt, expect to get dirty or something like that. Just let that be your North Star for talking online from now on. Think twice about what you drop on this forum or anywhere else on the internet, and ask yourself if you actually have the skin thick enough to deal with the criticism and the jokes.
