Could a moderator or an admin help me out here? I’m wondering why my post count under my avatar isn't ticking up as fast as I'm posting, especially since I can see that none of my messages have been deleted.

Because you were posting on the "on the edge of politics" subforum, and posts over there don't count towards the total.
