I was looking at an old auction listing earlier and saw that a 1993 penny is worth more than its face value 😁

Is this for real or just some internet nonsense? 😳

Sorry ladies, if I posted this in the wrong sub 😘 πŸ™‚

I’ve heard it’s valued at approximately $33, supposedly 🀷

A person's worth is really just whatever someone else is willing to pay for them. 😁

You can practically see the price tag written all over her forehead. πŸ™‚

And honestly, I think the actual value is exactly what cosmicrider5 said it was.

Oh, please 😁

So what, a hundred bucks from back in '93 would be worth πŸ€” 10,000? 😁

then I guess a hundred bucks back in '93 would be worth like πŸ€” 10,000 bucks today, right? 😁

Don't go getting all caught up in the math.

I’ve got this bracelet my friend made for me back in the mid-nineties using single-cent coins from somewhere or other, though every one of them seems to have, I don't know, two holes in it. 😬

What math are we even talking about? 😁

I'm just wondering how much a $33 bill from that same year would actually be worth today. 😁

Are you just messing around with our taxpayer dollarsπŸ™‚
or is this some kind of patriotic statement? :tompcon: 😬

Just wondering roughly what a $33 bill from that same year would be worth.😁

Kevin Ramos10, you are being dense.πŸ˜‚

Why didn't they pull those from circulation in '93, just like the $50 and $200 bills?🀣

Seriously, you guys aren't being serious at all.β˜• 😁

I spotted someone on eBay trying to offload $1.75 coins for just $5... 😁

Oh, who knows for sure?
I actually stumbled upon them, just sitting there in a little toiletry bag alongside some HRD stuff, a few old American bills covered in way too many zeros, some German marks and pfennigs, and those absolute nuisancesβ€”those $8.25 coins.
I always feel a little guilty spending those last ones. Honestly, what kind of maniac comes up with something like that? I swear! πŸ™‚ I have $108 in quarters, but it feels like I don't even have anything at all.

So, anyway, I found them, and that was just my first attempt (knowing me, there’s probably three times as much more hiding in various corners of the apartment and the basement), specifically twenty-two of those one-cent coins from 1993.
Now I’m dying to know: is there any way I can actually make a profit here, or am I just wasting my breath on a lost cause?
I mean... I really don't feel like tackling the basement unless it's an absolute emergency. I just finished cleaning it out last year, and I'm definitely not ready to do it again so soon! πŸ˜‰

If we're talking about UNC, then $3.25 is definitely worth itβ€”end of story.
Everything else is just noise.

Since we don't exactly have a room full of professional coin collectors here, it would be super helpful if you could actually explain what UNC means! You can even just drop a link if you aren't feeling particularly chatty today.
I did a quick Google searchβ€”well, I skimmed the first three pages before my brain decided it had done enough work for one dayβ€”and while it mentioned something about quality, it didn't say a single thing about what that quality actually looks like in practice.

Think of UNC as a rookie who hasn't even stepped onto the field yetβ€”totally untouched, zero flaws, no scratches, nothing.

Look, I’m not cleaning out my garage unless there’s a serious reason. I did that last year, and I’m not looking to do it again anytime soon.πŸ˜‰

Typical her, always looking for the quick buck. 😁

I'm just going to say itβ€”sometimes I feel like I’m constantly tripping over my own feet while trying to navigate these complicated discussions, but I really wanted to jump in here! It feels like we’re all circling the same ideas, doesn't it? I might be a little slow on the uptake compared to some of you brilliant folks, but I truly believe there is such a wonderful opportunity for us to find some common ground if we just keep chatting away! kaΕΎe:
Oh man, just look at herβ€”I honestly think she’d be a total millionaire in no time if she actually put her mind to it! 😁

Oh, absolutely!😁 I mean, I honestly wouldn't mind if things moved a little slower, but if I actually get a say in the matter... well, I’d definitely pick the fast lane!🀣

Hey there! Well, I guess that's thatβ€”I've officially decided against tackling the basement cleanup!
