New IMDb UI and mobile rating updates?

You’ve probably all noticed the new design rollout. Once you get past the initial adjustment period, it actually isn't half bad. I suspect they leaned into this aesthetic to make the desktop experience feel more like the mobile version, but I am genuinely stumped by one thing: why on earth can't I rate movies anymore? Not to mention, there doesn't seem to be any way to log in when accessing m.imdb.com.

Am I just missing something obvious, or did they legitimately fail to implement those features? 😢

It really should be seamless—you finish a movie, pull out your phone, and give it a quick rating right then and there.

Look, I don't have any issues with rating movies or whatever... it’s just a shame that the original score doesn't stay up there alongside yours. But I guess I like this setup; it’s not nearly as annoying to get used to as some of those other sites out there.

I'm specifically talking about trying to leave a rating through the mobile site at http://m.imdb.com/. Using the desktop version works perfectly fine for me.

The design itself isn't half bad, I suppose. It’s just that I can’t wrap my head around why they keep reverting to the old version, only to flip back to the new one twenty-four hours later...🤷

It is likely still in its beta phase.
