Tyler Bennett5 said:That’s just how they talk down in certain parts of the Bay Area.
It reminds me of when a foreigner picks up some local slang and then gets totally thrown by how someone from
San Francisco actually sounds, only to be even more surprised when they hear the accent of someone from
a small town out in the Midwest.
I’m not sure if everyone is tuned in 107% during the Friday and Saturday practice sessions, so maybe
Heidfeld will have no trouble sliding right into the race lineup. Alonso, on the other hand, is going to have to work overtime
at the starting line since he's stuck on the dirty part of the track.

It's pronounced MON-ZOO-EEK, not MON-HUI-CHEEK, for crying out loud.😉

Hamilton just completely botched another set of tires...

Alonso is driving way beyond what that car is actually capable of right now.

Sebastian was itching to get out there, but they had the sense to tell him staying put was the smarter move. I mean, imagine the optics if they let him go and kept Webber on track instead. What a pathetic way to run a team.

Good grief... these guys are barely a second ahead of the rest of the pack 🤦

Thank God the race starts at 2 PM. If it were any earlier, there's zero chance I'd be awake ☕

Last year they were only absolutely crushing it at the Circuit of the Americas, but now it’s happening every single weekend—like, imagine being a full second faster on hard tires at COTA.🤦

Everything played out exactly how you'd expect.
Red Bull was totally dominant, though I think Hamilton might be the only one who can actually give them a run for their money during tomorrow's race.
Alonso looks dangerous too, especially since Ferrari seems to have found that extra gear when it comes to race pace.
As for Button, he just wasn't even in the conversation today. Petrov did pretty much what you'd expect given his car, but Rosberg left me feeling a little let down.

Massa was nearly a full second behind Alonso,🙄which really says everything you need to know about where they stand right now.
We’ll just have to wait and see if Schumacher’s tactical maneuvering actually pays off in the end.

Maldonado was honestly impressive considering the kind of machine he's fighting with.🙂

It’s honestly no surprise they’re absolutely tearing it up in qualifying when you realize just how much more
often I can utilize DRS on every single lap.

It’s almost like they’re waiting for us all to die before they finally decide to tune up that KERS setup,
and honestly, seeing them absolutely demolish everyone else during qualifying is just wild.

Nah, I don't think so. It'd probably just wreck their car's balance.
As for qualifying, huge props to Maldonado and Kovalainen. 🙏
Tomorrow during the race, I bet Red Bull loses ground right at the start—maybe even a collision 😁—but I think the rest of the grid will make for a pretty decent watch.

What else can I really say about this current 🤷

I honestly went into qualifying thinking the top five might actually shake out in this kind of order....☕

Man, listening to that Ferrari team radio was just... pure comedy. Someone please, for the love of God, tell him he’s actually faster than everyone else and not just beating Massa. It’s honestly hilarious hearing them play it cool like, "Hey, don't sweat it, just focus on your own race..."

Watching Kovalainen hold down 15th in that Lotus is actually pretty impressive.👋
He’s really the only one from the newcomers who seems to be making steady progress right out of the gate.

Looks like Nick's going to have his hands full with a mountain of work tomorrow.

Maldonado finally proved he’s doing more than just driving around for the sponsors at Williams.
I’m honestly crossing my fingers that this isn't just a one-hit wonder performance.

What on earth happened with Barrichello? I totally missed Q1.

Kovalainen's position might look underwhelming, but honestly, props to him for grabbing 15th.🙂

Barrichello had a gearbox failure.👍

To be fair, if Heidfeld had actually been able to race, we’d probably be looking at a 16th place finish, but hey, at least they're making progress.

Dealing with the gearboxes at Williams this season has been an absolute nightmare, like trying to fix a broken engine in a thunderstorm.
At least watching Maldonado was the bright spot that saved my day.

What's the deal with you haters? Is winning a championship really that hard for you to swallow?

Here we go again with the 0.6 haters. That was exactly how much he was overdriving that car.

Let’s be honest: nobody on the grid is even close to that level right now.

But honestly, what does that even mean for Alonso? If third place is his absolute ceiling today, who cares? If he were sitting in a McLaren-Mercedes, he’d be fighting Vettel for the win every single Sunday. Like, seriously. In this current setup, that +0.6 second advantage doesn't even matter because Vettel is already miles ahead. Tomorrow, if he finishes fourth, I'd call that a massive win. Why? Because Vettel, Weber, Hamilton, and Button are all in rockets, while Ferrari isn't even in the same zip code yet.

🤣🤣🤣

I didn't catch qualifying, but I don't buy fairy tales. Honestly, it’s more likely Massa just flopped like he always does.☕

Also, where did that Ferrari advantage over McLaren from last race go? It vanished.🤷

Yeah, Massa is definitely struggling, but even Alonso was looking pretty damn inspired out there.

Regarding that "Ferrari advantage over McLaren" thing🤷, Fernando is actually looking a whole lot closer to them now than he was back in Turkey.👍
