But yeah, I agree, Alonso isn't in a great spot for the race either. Really hoping Hamilton can jump Vettel at the start (can't believe I actually said that 🤦) before Red Bull pulls away.

🤣 See? They're absolute garbage.😂

Some guy wakes up early after a massive hangover and still has better tactical sense than these guys.🤣

Total amateurs.😬🤣

Seriously guys, stop talking nonsense. Posting stuff like that is like me claiming Red Bull is just a mid-tier team on the grid right now.😂

Let’s be real: Ferrari is easily a top two or three team here. No debate. Alonso is miles ahead of Button, and honestly, he should’ve been sitting in fourth during qualifying. Everything leading up to this race was just a total disaster for him and Ferrari’s questionable strategy.☕

Honestly, Alonso could drive that car with one hand tied behind his back. If they just gave him a halfway decent strategy, he’d be outclassing everyone on the grid no problem.☕

If those two hadn't completely choked during qualifying, Ferrari would have a guaranteed podium right now.😉

They could've cruised through Q1 on hard tires without breaking a sweat. And since Hamilton braked like an absolute amateur again and absolutely trashed his tires in Q3, Alonso easily could've grabbed a podium spot.

Plus, Ferrari struggles a bit during qualifying, but they absolutely kill it on race day. It’s also hilarious that you idiots still don't get it—qualifying isn't about going full throttle just to grab a pole position if it ruins your entire race strategy. Stop wrecking your chances before the lights even go out.

If you put a driver like Alonso in a car this bad, but let him start 17 spots back on a fresh set of tires, he could probably scrape a podium if he drives a perfect race. No mistakes, just pure grit.😉
Since Heidfeld got booted before qualifying, he totally missed his shot. He could've easily snatched 12th or 13th, and honestly, with three new sets of tires, he might have even pulled off a win. Plus, if he had started 15th and somehow landed on the podium? Fans would've absolutely lost their minds. Total delirium.

Totally agree. Ferrari is basically like last year's McLaren—terrible in qualifying, but solid once the race starts.
If Ferrari actually had decent strategists, I think they’d be fighting McLaren for podiums, but with their current crew? Doubtful. You saw it in Austin when they copied Red Bull's move and snagged a podium.

👍

I said this ages ago: it doesn't matter which driver Ferrari signs if their pit wall is an absolute disaster.🤦

My guys had their fair share of brain fades over the last couple of years, sure, but it’s obvious Horner has gotten way smarter and more experienced while the Ferrari crew seems to be moving backward.😕

I'm dying to see how Horner plays this one today.😁

If Webber and Vettel pull off a 1-2 finish—doesn't even matter who's first—then Horner finally learned his lesson.🙏

That's the only thing he's missing. Everything else is there.👍

When you look at everything else, you really have to give credit where it's due—it’s all thanks to Newey...😂 don't go losing your cool now!!!

Is Nick Heidfeld going to be starting from the pit lane, or is he just stuck at the very back of the grid?

True, having Newey’s car definitely made his life a whole lot easier.👍

Even so, Horner’s been pulling tactical moves quite well so far.
Keeping Vettel and Webber from burning through their final set of tires in Q3 and making sure they didn't charge like idiots for that points advantage—which isn't even as huge as people claim—was smart work.😉

If he'd let them pull that kind of nonsense, the car wouldn't have saved him; he would've trashed the race before it even started.☕

On that front, he's actually been solid this season. It honestly surprises me that his strategy is holding its own against the McLaren crew.

There was this one moment during Q3 where I genuinely thought Vettel was gearing up to snag pole, but then it looks like he listened to Horner's input and backed off.

I don't think so. At least ESPN said they were likely watching what Alonso and Rosberg do, and seeing if Hamilton tries to snatch pole again.

You're probably wondering why they put fresh tires on Vettel's car.🙂

Or maybe it was just Vettel's way of screwing over Webber—forcing him out onto the track on fresh rubber one more time.🤣

Either way, Horner played his hand perfectly.👍

I guess they were just waiting to see what everyone else was clocking, rather than actually thinking about whether it made sense for Webber and Vettel to go out and chase those times 😁

Vettel mentioned later that while he obviously would have loved to head back out there and fix his lap time, he knew deep down it would have been completely irrational 😁

There’s actually another tactical angle to consider here 😬

I'm dying to see if anyone actually tries to stretch those soft tires to the limit!

Like, even when they start falling off a cliff, just to pull off some genius move where the final stint on hards is kept as short as possible.

Given how massive the gap is this time around, it wouldn't be crazy if someone managed to match the pace of the guys on fresh hards while still rolling on beat-up softs. 🤣>

Button could totally pull a fast one there and leapfrog Hamilton with a move like that. 😁

Man, you're moving slower than Ferrari's pit crew during a strategy meltdown.🤣

It's definitely been over a month by now, if it hasn't been closer to two.😂

Hannah Allen5 said:I can't catch the live broadcast right now, so I figured I'd just ask you guys here:

Are Alonso, Rosberg, and Massa sitting comfortably in the top 8? I managed to track Button far enough to see he's currently in first, which I guess means he's safely within that top 8 bracket, right?

Also, does anyone know who has already dropped out or retired from the race so far?

I don't get why everyone is making such a huge deal out of Ferrari. We all saw this coming the second Schumacher left. They had a decent run of glory for a while, but now they're just sliding right back to where they belong—the exact spot Schumacher pulled them out of in the first place. ☕
