but if it's just you rambling about your niche topics with maybe two other guys nodding along—yeah, no way in hell
for crying out loud, does that sound really that freaking complicated??

Alright, fine, if you guys say so, I guess I'll start hunting down some interested folks... 🙂
So, what's the magic number in your eyes? Like, how many "interested" people would we realistically need to pull off a biology subforum...

I moderate SoN, participate in biology discussions on the main board, and frankly, I don't see the point of this subforum. Given the current numbers, physics should be detached first.

George Rivera7, bring your topic over to SoN 👍

BTW admins, has nobody noticed the error in the "Natural Science" subforum title? It really ought to be "Scientific." When I see the word "natural," my mind immediately jumps to those pseudo-eco-conscious types buying natural tampons, eating natural fruit, and drinking natural juices 🙄instead of actual food.

🙄

Look, if you keep pushing this specific way, I honestly don't think it's gonna happen.

The thing is, a) nobody's really asking for it, b) we already have plenty of places to talk about that stuff, and c) the people I actually think would be good at running it are already spread pretty thin.

The real issue here is that a) nobody actually cares, b) there are already plenty of other boards where people talk about this stuff, and c) the folks I actually think would make decent moderators are already spread pretty thin.

Fine, alright, you guys finally convinced me that this subforum isn't exactly a huge necessity... 😢
Maybe I went a little too hard with my suggestion... 🙄

👍

To me, "Natural Sciences" just feels more right and fits the academic tone better than the other option.
It's the same logic with the institutions—you wouldn't call it the "Natural Faculty of Science," you'd call it the Faculty of Science.
