Attachment size limits

Why on earth is the maximum attachment size so tiny? It’s a pathetic, stingy 9.8 KB.
Nobody posts images like this, and honestly, you could barely even squeeze a tiny GIF into 9.8 KB, if you're lucky. But the real issue is trying to upload PDFs or PSD files, which are actually useful for certain threads. This ridiculous 9.8 KB limit makes that impossible. I mean, who in their right mind thinks that's enough for any kind of PDF or PSD file?
If they're going to set an limit this small, they might as well not have one at all. It just makes this site look like it's trying to be generous when, in reality, it's being incredibly cheap.

I am inclined to agree; I believe the feature should simply be removed altogether. While these restrictions usually exist to manage server load, it would be more logical to eliminate the attachment option entirely and just have everyone use external upload services instead.

I don't know, maybe it would crash the servers if they let us use larger PSD or PDF files, since then probably not enough people would actually be using them lol

Honestly, showing the attachment size is pretty pointless. It doesn’t actually help anyone, so we might as well just disable it.

Maybe it served some purpose back in the day—like seven or eight years ago—but nowadays, it's just clutter.
