I have a bit of a question here—which is really more of a headache, if I’m being honest! I think I was a little foolish to go out and buy $167 because, based on all the reviews I read, this mouse seemed absolutely top-tier—great lighting, massive DPI range, the whole nine yards 🙂. On my desktop and just moving windows around, it feels totally fine, but the second I try to actually play the game I bought it for (Crossfire), everything goes sideways. Aiming becomes about ten times harder than it should be. The weird part is that the issue only pops up when I move the mouse in a perfectly straight horizontal line—like, strictly left to right—but instead of staying level, the cursor starts drifting diagonally down to the left or up to the right. It’s definitely not an oversensitivity issue either, since I have it set to a very low sensitivity, maybe around x1100 y1100, yet it just keeps veering off course. It doesn't do this at all during normal use, so I can't help but wonder if there's some hidden trick or setting causing this? I've already tried swapping out my mousepad and stuff like that, but nothing seems to work

It’s Logitech or nothing for me. I've been running on the exact same fiber connection for nearly a decade now. ☕
Everything else is just total garbage if you ask me, and trust me, I've tried it all. 😉

Based on your post, I guess everything else you tested was pure genius—like Microsoft Industries or SmartBox...

@John Clark6/">@@John Clark6, does your mouse have a sensitivity adjustment in its software? Maybe try hunting around for that option somewhere...

Since you dropped $167 on a mouse, you could have easily picked up a decent mousepad so it stops sliding all over the place ☕

If you’re looking for actual precision, just go with an optics setup or a G3... though if you already dropped $167, you might as well have spent 600 on a Roccat Kone. It’s easily the best mouse out there, and if you check the link, you can get it in a bundle with headphones worth over $83....

But honestly, what even counts as a "good" pad these days? Are we talking metal, rubber, cloth, plastic—I mean, there are so many options out there!

It really depends... personally, I’ve always preferred a cloth pad over an aluminum one. If you're looking for a solid recommendation, maybe check out the Razer Goliathus—either the Speed or Control version...

Just grab one from Dell... I don't think you can find anything better quality than that here in the States...

I just hope it doesn't end up being even worse—I mean, for that kind of money, they really should have just provided a decent primer instead.

This is absolute madness—I just dropped another $53 on the Goliath backup pad and it’s still total garbage! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, you guys can all just go jump in a lake 🙂

Look, don't fall for the mainstream hype and drop a bag on Razer... it's basically like buying a Dell laptop... you're paying way too much when you could have just built a custom rig for better performance... I guess... I'm not sure why nobody suggested a Roccat Taito pad to you..

Smartass 🙄

Yeah. You really should have gone with the Roccat Taito... your luck would've turned around instantly, guaranteed!!!

So, would you actually drop $167 on some unproven mouse quality? Personally, I’d never waste my cash on Razer. I’d either grab a Roccat—which is what I did—or maybe SteelSeries. Logitech is alright, I guess, but they're overpriced. Razer is just a damn hype brand; seriously, how many actual pros are even using them? What’s the actual ROI there? Like, does any Razer mouse even have TCU like a Roccat does? Anyone can slap some LEDs on a mouse, but finding something that looks cool without being overpriced and actually high-quality? That seems impossible. American companies just love using flashy ads to brainwash people—clearly, they’ve mastered that here in the States too 👎... and I honestly thought people here were a bit smarter than that. If someone messes up and buys the wrong mouse, they'll just flip it on eBay and someone else will end up 😁

Wait, so you think Roccat isn't overpriced, but Razer is? Is that it? 😂

Actually, way more pros use Razer than you think... and besides, why trash Razer when you've never even used one before?...

I guess Razer just plays the paid influencer game way more than you think... besides, why trash Razer if you haven't even touched one...

I didn't say I hadn't used one, just that I never bought one 😁 Roccat isn't overpriced at all. And please, don't start comparing prices in the US to how things work overseas, because we all know a $100 item in America might cost way more elsewhere due to crazy markups. It ends up being that what costs $167 in the States, you end up paying $400 here... I guess I'm being a bit ironic, but the markup on retail prices compared to wholesale in some places is just insane... like, if a Sapphire HD5870 Toxic is $480 in America, that would be $867. It probably wouldn't even hit our local stores, and if it did, it'd be like Eyefinity 6—more expensive than a 5970—so what am I supposed to buy? 😁

Bottom line, Razer is fine, but personally, I think Roccat is better. It kind of bugs me when people worship Razer like gods without actually owning anything. They just want us to spend money. Honestly, the guy could have easily $120 picked up a DeathAdder or a Roccat Kova for $450, or whatever... he was just sucked in by the fact that it looks like a Lamborghini Reventon, glows like a Christmas tree, and has over 5000 DPI, as if anyone is actually using that on a 30" monitor. Personally, I never went above 800 DPI on my old mouse and it was totally fine.

You're basically agreeing with my entire last post, though I guess you're a little more on board with the shaded parts 😁 :P
