I haven't spent much time digging into the cast list—aside from knowing one character is played by Nicolas Cage, who is actually a huge comic book fan himself—
but if this movie stays true to the source material, we are in for a real treat.
The story follows a young kid from New York City named Dave Lizewsek who decides to become a superhero because he's obsessed with comics. After one of his "heroic" moments gets caught on camera by a passerby and uploaded to YouTube, Dave becomes an overnight sensation. The comic is packed with both humor and intense violence; I highly recommend the book, and we'll see how the movie holds up. From what I can tell by the trailers, it looks very faithful to the original comic.
