400 bucks—the only way I’d pay that much is if you let me play air guitar for my kid in the backseat while you drive.

The moderator clearly didn't have the guts to issue a warning here, even though they definitely saw it—unless one of the other mods stepped in to flag it.

I've reported this post, so we'll see what happens. Honestly, this kind of talk shouldn't be happening around the mods or admins either.

Cheers.

It isn’t even about being brave or whatever; it’s just that the admin is incapable of actually handing out a penalty
Regarding that flagged post, I went ahead and pulled the strike myself, because honestly, it just feels wrong to let someone take a hit just because they decided to call me out on one of my own questionable comments

Sorry for jumping in here—but is it actually fair that neither you nor the guy who replied to you got flagged for trolling?
(btw, does sexism count toward that same five-strike rule?)

Honestly, this thread has turned into a complete circus lately. It’s getting nasty—like, really nasty.
There's this whole group being lumped together under the label "NYC Taxi" and slapped with the most disgusting insults you can imagine. Look, I get it—people are frustrated with NYC taxi drivers, I really do. But I just can't wrap my head around why everyone is basically adopting the exact slurs other users are using to trash them.
I'm not one to love generalizations, even if I get where they're coming from sometimes.
But here's the thing... if people were talking like this in other sections of this Reddit—say, in Politics or Big Brother—they’d be hit with an instant permaban. No questions asked. Yet here? People aren't even getting a warning.
Please, let's try to keep some level of decency around here.

Look, I can't just take a penalty and then suddenly decide it's "unfair" if someone else gets one just because they happen to be on my side of the argument.

As for NYC Taxi, they basically built their own reputation through sheer incompetence; it's not like they weren't given plenty of opportunities to actually do things right for once.

I’m offering my apologies to everyone affected by my post, and I'll certainly try to steer clear of making similar comments in the future.
But at the end of the day, I'm primarily just a Reddit user, and I also happen to have the strange luck of living in an area where the local companies are exactly the kind of outfits people love to vent about in threads like this one and many others.

Apology accepted—honestly, I’d just love if we could avoid this whole thing happening again. It’s not even about being salty toward the NYC Taxi, it’s more about the double standards. It feels like when someone here posts something legitimate, they get flagged as a troll, but then actual trolls just get an apology and move on—if they even get anything at all.

But hey, what do I know? The world isn't exactly fair, so expecting everyone to judge a post objectively is kind of a lost cause from the jump.

At the end of the day, this whole debate is just a massive waste of time. 😍

Fair enough. 👍

I wouldn't personally drop $400 unless there was someone sitting in the back seat, 😂😂😂😂
I honestly don't see what the controversy is about 😬
