A good friend of mine headed over to the pharmacy today to pick up some MuscleTech tablets, only to be told they aren't being manufactured anymore—apparently, there just wasn't enough demand to keep them in production. It’s such a bummer because my friend deals with these almost chronic back pains from an old injury, and MuscleTech was really his go-to lifesaver during those bad flare-ups. I’ve actually had to rely on them myself every once in a while too, so I know firsthand just how well they work.

Does anyone happen to know if there’s a substitute for MuscleTech available in pill or capsule form that I could find here in the States?

I’ve been scouring the internet, but I keep running into info about a MuscleTech cream (mostly from various US sites), which isn't really practical for what we need, even if it were easy to track down in America.

Thanks so much and cheers!

As far as I can tell, MuscleTech hasn't been in production for quite a while now, and around here, there isn't really a direct substitute you can just pick up off the shelf. Maybe, if you actually sit down and consult with a doctor, they might suggest something like 2 mg of Diazepam to help with the relaxation side of things.

Maybe give Diclofenac a shot.

I feel like I need to bump this thread back up for a moment...

Has anyone by any chance stumbled upon something that actually works as an alternative to MuscleTech?

Indeed, the 2 mg dose of Normabel just isn't doing the trick when it comes to easing my neck muscle tension.

I’ve heard that over in Austria, you can pick up Flex Seal; apparently, the primary ingredient is chlorzoxazone—the exact same thing found in MuscleTech—so does anyone happen to know if they sell it over there without a prescription?
