The incident took place within the Fashion subforum. In the thread Fashion Critiques for Brave Forum Ladies, I posted a photo from Halloween where I was dressed as a female film character.
The other women participating in the thread had no idea I was male. Granted, my gender isn't some mystery—it’s clearly stated in my profile. However, my post was deleted, along with several positive comments I had received... all under the pretext of trolling. I attempted to resolve this via private message with the moderator me in Honey, who removed my content and labeled it trolling. Her argument is that my photo violated the subforum rules. When I pressed for specifics, she claimed it was because I am male. But here is the thing—nowhere in the rules of this specific subforum, nor in the guidelines for this particular thread, does it state that men are prohibited from participating. It simply isn't there. Furthermore, the definition of "trolling" is deliberately inciting an argument, disrupting a discussion, or creating discord.... My photography was neither an attempt to incite an argument, nor did it disrupt the discussion, nor did it create any discord. I have thoroughly reviewed the regulations before filing this appeal, and I see no error on my part. As far as I can tell, the photo adhered to every rule governing both the subforum and the thread itself.
Ultimately, I asked the moderator in question which specific rule forbids men from participating in this topic, and more importantly, where I *can* post a photo without the moderators breathing down my neck. To those two questions, I received no answer.
I am requesting a full explanation regarding this entire situation. Why was my photo removed, why was my post branded as trolling, and exactly which written rule did I violate by posting that image in this thread?
