I'm asking for some assistance here...
I managed to lose the original installation disc for my HP DeskJet, so I went ahead and downloaded what looked like the right software from the HP website. But, predictably, nothing works. I try to run it, and this little window pops up—it feels like my computer just can't figure out how to open the file, or maybe it's something else entirely. I honestly can't tell.
Does anyone have any idea what the issue might be? Am I missing some specific utility to actually get the software running, or am I just hitting a wall?
Thanks in advance if anyone can point me in the right direction. :-)

What’s that little pop-up window actually saying?

The little window popping up is just a WinZip file
It tells me I need to click unzip to extract all the files from that B7600ENx.exe, so
I see "HP" blinking in the white box underneath (with a "browse" button off to the side), and I click unzip. It says the extraction was successful and that's it... nothing else happens. Just silence. :-(

So, it’s just finished extracting. Now you gotta actually kick off the installation from wherever you unzipped everything.
It should probably be sitting right on your desktop in that HP DeskJet folder
If it’s not there, just make a new folder on your desktop, hit browse, pick that folder, and then click unzip.
