Moderator Update

First off, let me be incredibly clear: I am not acting out of malice, nor is this post intended as a personal vendetta against any individual! My conscience is entirely clear regarding my intentions here.

The entire Diaspora subforum and its moderation are currently in total disarray due to the unchecked whims and self-appointed authority of a single person.

I am talking specifically about Steven Ruiz.

I would like to pose a question to the community: how would you prefer we handle this situation? Should we:

1) Appoint a brand new moderator who is actually chosen by the forum members themselves?
2) Replace them with one of our existing moderators?
3) Issue a formal warning or penalty?
4) Remove them from their position immediately?

It is quite evident that many users have either abandoned the Diaspora section entirely or have become silent observers because the current management is simply incapable of running things effectively.

Is it about the points? On top of that, users seem to have something to say about you almost every single day, yet I haven't felt the need to start a formal poll to see if the community wants someone else in your position...

I’m asking the moderators to please just close this thread down, but please don't go ahead and ban him quite yet, because he hasn't truly earned it...

Now he's looking for some professional troll to vote against Kim, since the mods let all of this happen. Honestly, it’s such a mess he probably can't even reach his keyboard. The troll is being pretty sadistic about everything he wrote. Maybe you should include Aaron Garcia36 too, given how much trouble he causes. It's hard to say who's worse. His entire "purpose" on those boards was just to show up, troll, and stir the pot; people ended up buying way too much junk just because of him (and his antics).
Now he can go whine somewhere else since nobody ever liked him anyway. He even took aim at Key, but honestly, there isn't a single moderator on those American forums who would tolerate him. I've done him a favor by making things easier; he doesn't have a community left to bother.
