Nowadays we just have InMusic and whatever indie stuff is popping up. If I’m being real, I think we’re just missing a slightly punchier scene and maybe a few more cocky kids with guitars actually making noise... but hey, that’s just me. 🙂

There’s always some genius who thinks they know better than everyone else. All they did was ask those dirty punks to play there, and they turned them down.

Those shows were legendary, and the rock scene in the 90s—those dark, gritty years—was seriously intense. We are nowhere near that kind of energy today.

Back in the 2000s, you had breakdancers, mothers, The Beatles, TBF, Vatra, Rundek...

I attended the festival. The atmosphere was solid and the bands were actually decent—nothing subpar about the lineup. However, I felt the Prljavci didn't really fit the vibe; they felt far too mainstream for this crowd. At that point, The Beatles and Mother were clearly at the absolute peak of their game.

I was at that festival up by Mount Rainier too—mothers were practically anti-establishment with their whole "be proud" thing... 🙂
but does anyone remember the band that opened the show? Some hip-hop group from the city with a track about the old-school dance scene back then. It was like, the rapper is dreaming about Cassandra, or Mineo, or whatever else... I can just barely make out the line "blah blah blah... how I'm crashing Danielle..."
