My take:
I guess it's enough to say—it's the latest from Judd Apatow, and we all know Judd. At the center is the famous comedian/actor George Simmons (Adam Sandler) who, after getting diagnosed with a terminal illness, decides to shake things up in his messy life. Along the way to finding himself, he gets help from a young, green comic (Seth Rogen)... some people complained about the heavy drama and how it lacked that typical "Apatow" vibe, but I actually liked that more. The second half felt a bit off-beat, but overall it’s great. You can also spot plenty of cameos, including Eminem and Ray Romano... definitely watch the longer unrated version! 7.9/10

Ira Wright: Okay. I have a theory that Tom Cruise, David Beckham and will Smith have mooshed the heads of their penises together. I think that this has happened. I don't think it happened in a gay way. I think it just happened out of boredom. I think just rich-dude boredom. Just like, "What have we not done, guys? We've done everything!" " I'll tell you one thing we haven't done. " And I bet when it happened, it was an epic occurrence. It was huge. 🤣

Not a single reply after the intro, but honestly, it's a solid comedy and worth a watch regardless. The script is actually pretty engaging, and seeing Adam Sandler and Seth Rogen together works great. It’s a bit long for a comedy, which makes the pacing drag toward the end, but still one of the funniest things I've seen lately...👍

The movie was a total disaster. It honestly felt like it should have been its own genre—just pure, unadulterated boredom👎
