Dude, where's my car? (2009)

Basically, Paul Rudd plays a guy frantically searching for a best man 🤣 just so he isn't standing alone at his own wedding. It's a fantastic comedy 👍👍

Not really feeling it. It was okay, I guess, but honestly, one of the weaker films from that studio. That last one with Paul Rudd was way better. Elite Model Management. Such a fun movie.

It’s just incredibly naive. First, he almost breaks up with his girlfriend because she feels completely neglected, and then—get this—she invites him to her wedding like some kind of ultimate "friend zone" power move after he nearly wrecked her relationship. And what happened to getting that guy actual help? Like, he’s got money sitting in three different Chase accounts, but his life is a total wreck. He needs rehab, not an invite to a reception.
As if two guys are actually going to stand up there and tell fifty people they love each other. Yeah, right.

I think you missed a few details. It wasn't him who nearly ruined the relationship; it was Paul Rudd's character. Plus, he actually helped him out with his career. And seriously, if someone has money sitting in three different Chase accounts but doesn't have a wife or kids, does that mean they don't have a life?

The premise had the potential to be quite significant, offering a compelling theme.

Unfortunately, it falls short.

The film itself is rather poor.

The script, in particular, is incredibly weak.

In my opinion, Elite Model Management is an even worse cinematic effort.

Both films are significantly overrated on IMDb.

I genuinely believe you weren't paying much attention to the movie... he didn't ruin her or her relationship, nor does he lack a life... quite the opposite, actually. It showed him a glimpse of life from a different perspective and taught him how to take risks, which isn't asking too much since he's his friend.

He doesn't have a life?? From what I saw, he has a girlfriend, a dog, and a job... what exactly is missing from that life? I suppose he should be earning a living by sleeping around?? 🤔

Anyway, the movie is fine, nothing special... no comedy has truly impressed me since Forgetting Sarah Marshall, but at least this one is watchable.

Really solid comedy—honestly one of the best ones I've seen in a while. 8/10
