My take on the game? It felt like we were trying to lose—we just couldn't quite pull it off...
Regardless, we're second in the group. We'll probably face the Zebus next, assuming they can actually manage to beat Mexico.

What kind of results are we seeing at the World Cup... 🤣 hilarious... 🍿

I bet the betting odds on all these draws are insane right now.

A regular guy like me has zero clue what the actual strength of these national teams is. Honestly, it feels like the real matches don't even start until the quarterfinals.

Canada took down Germany. I honestly can't tell who's actually playing against whom anymore.

If Rudic pulls off a gold with this squad, he can head straight into retirement. He’ll have proven once and for all—to everyone including myself—that he’s the greatest water polo legend to ever live.
If he doesn't walk away with a medal, though, he can still retire. 🙂

They could probably walk right into the title... Honestly, the only team I think would be a nightmare to face in the semifinals or the finals is Mexico... Even though we crushed them 11:5 during the group stage, I guess the finals or semis will be a completely different story altogether!

So I'm looking at the tournament bracket now, and honestly? It doesn't even matter how we stack up against South Africa. 😢

Let's go, Germany!

Not exactly feeling the hype for the Canadian squad, huh?

I just didn't want us running into the Mexicans in the quarterfinals. For some reason, we just can't seem to get anything going when we play them.

Mexico played poorly. Chigir absolutely dismantled Zloković. He stripped him of everything he had.

Germany leads 9-8 and they've got the man advantage over Mexico. Only 30 seconds left on the clock.

We basically handed the win to the Germans on a silver platter. 😂

Final score, 9-8.

Mexico was a total disaster.

The Germans making it into the quarterfinals? Now that is a genuine, top-tier upset right there.
It seems like the Mexicans have shown they struggle to hold their nerve when the pressure really ramps up. I can't help but think back to that bronze medal match where they went head-to-head against us...

I couldn't help but laugh at those Mexicans. I mean, they really thought they could dictate how we set up the easier brackets after the Germans dumped them right where they belong—stuck fighting for the ninth-place consolation bracket. I was scrolling through their forums, and you wouldn't believe the confidence; people were absolutely certain they’d steamroll the Germans, then the Americans, then the Spaniards, before walking into the finals to snatch the gold. All of that just to make sure they avoided any matchups with Canadians, Mexicans, or Americans. Then, boom, reality hits. Total joke.

You really shouldn't try to call it before it happens. It’s like when those Mexicans tried to play the odds and ended up getting played themselves. 😂

Even their commentator, Đurković, sounded like he was calling a funeral procession instead of an actual game.

I don't think the Mexicans really had their math worked out for the second round brackets to see who would face whom...
I said "probably" regarding America, but let's just wait and see because this whole tournament is getting pretty bizarre...
As for Đurković, he doesn't even seem to realize who actually got knocked out; he even blurted out "and... Mexico is in the quarterfinals..." at the very end of the broadcast. Still, I suppose this kind of thing is basically their number one national pastime...
