Google ads are getting annoying!

I have no clue why my screen real estate keeps shrinking lately—is there any way to actually fix this?
I think I saw some other people complaining about the same thing online, too.

It’s great for marketing, I guess, but the real question is whether they did this on purpose. ☕

\\nI already gave the whole ad blocker thing a shot, but it was a total bust. Honestly, any help would be huge. Shoot me a DM if you’ve got ideas.
\nEven as I’m typing this, there aren't any ads popping up, but the forum layout is taking up like, maybe two-thirds of the screen? On my laptop, that just looks terrible. 😢

Some PDFs look totally fine, but whenever I hit the off-topic section, my screen gets all squeezed and tiny, just like what happened to Brenda Cook4!🤷

I'm using Firefox 😁... if that even matters, I guess.😬

I was feeling just as constricted yesterday as 🤷Brenda Cook4 was, but honestly, everything’s back to normal today without me having to lift a finger...

Is FF-adblock plus actually doing anything here? Because it feels like it's just... spotting the obvious at this point:

It feels like everything’s getting squeezed together lately too, regardless of whether I’ve got an adblocker running or not. It’s happening on both Firefox and Google Chrome 🤷Honestly, it's getting pretty annoying

I’m also on Opera, and honestly, everything works just fine for me.🤷

You haven't configured it correctly. Look above the frame where the ad usually sits—there should be a small adblock icon. Click that and set it to block all ads from Microsoft. Basically, just select the Microsoft domain. You get what I'm saying, right?😁

@Kate Foster12.. thanks for the tip, but I don't see that little icon in Google Chrome 😁. It’s not a huge deal for Firefox since I barely even open it, but the settings in Google Chrome are a bit different 🤷. So, AdBlock did a decent job nuking all the actual ads, but those weird empty gaps on the right side won't budge. When I try to get rid of them, it keeps offering to block elements one by one. I tried setting it up to hide that "Marketing" link, but that damn tiny little table causing the gap is still there—and if I tell it to block the whole thing, it ends up wiping out half the forum because the entire layout is just one massive <td> chunk

:/ Anyone got a fix?😳 Or maybe someone could just send over a list of all the ad filters so I can try plugging them in manually myself

For the hundredth time we find ourselves circling this exact same topic, and for the hundredth time, I’m met with nothing but the same predictable, uninspired responses 😂
