so, i was wondering... is there any way to actually tell when someone's planning on hopping back on here?

On those specific posts where a user has been flagged, you'll see a red warning icon right below the quote, multiquote, and quick reply buttons. Clicking it reveals the reason for the penalty, along with when it expires and who issued it
However, locating the exact posts that triggered a user's suspension can sometimes be quite difficult...

Just ask Reddit to take a look at the mod controll panel.

But honestly, trying to track down the actual posts that triggered a Cardboard can be a total pain in the neck...

The thing is, you aren't going to see every single post someone got a Cardboard for 😉 unless you manually dig through every single thing they've posted over, say, the last 30 days. And even then, there's a pretty good chance those offending posts were already deleted by a mod.

Also, just to be clear, the expiration date on a Cardboard is NOT the same thing as a ban expiration date.😉
A Cardboard usually sticks around for about 30 days, whereas hitting 100 points triggers a 3-day ban.
