Exactly. It’s a street just south of Fifth Avenue, basically an extension of Barun Filipović heading toward Reljkovićev towards Republic Square.

Hey, should we get her some adult toys or maybe a DVD player loaded with cartoons for the kids? Like, if a few of us chip in, we could actually grab them something decent to keep things interesting...

Also, I was thinking it might be a good idea for those of us with kids to gather up any old toys our little ones have outgrown and donate them to children in need.

What do you think?

First things first, let's get the electricity sorted—they don't even have heat or running water right now... so let's hold off on the gifts. We don't need to rush into buying toys and stuff because there is literally zero space to put them. They're still putting up drywall and windows at this stage. That’s why we really need more hands on deck for the heavy lifting this Saturday. Look, people, once you actually show up and see the conditions those four kids are living in, you'll realize just how lucky we all are.😕

I actually have a ton of stuff and furniture piling up right now since we're moving out of my late grandparents' place. Do they need more furniture? Of course, I can wait until the house is ready before moving everything in...

My father-in-law has a van if you need help hauling anything bulky.

Just let me know...

If the furniture is in decent shape, then it works. Don't toss it just yet; we'll figure something out later.
And tell your father-in-law to come pick you guys up once you're all hiding under the table during the big game.😁

They don't need any of that since they've already got it—but honestly, a new fridge would be a lifesaver, especially since we're dropping off their current one at the local landfill this Saturday.

Got the drywall up on the ceiling today—plan is to sand it down and hit it with one more coat of joint compound this Saturday so it’s actually ready for paint by next week.

If anyone out there actually knows what they're doing with a putty knife, I'll buy you a beer.🙂

If anyone actually knows how to handle a taping knife without making a mess, I'll buy you a beer.🙂

Make it two beers from me.👍

Yeah,

if anyone’s free tomorrow morning for maybe two or three hours... I need some extra hands to help move a couple rows of bricks and shove a window inside 🙂
the contractor doing the work tomorrow needs an assistant, and honestly, I didn't exactly sell him on my offer 🤣

If anyone happens to be free tomorrow morning for a couple of hours... I need some raw muscle to help strip out two rows of bricks and shove a window inside.🙂
The contractor handling the job tomorrow needs an extra set of hands, and honestly, I didn't exactly sell him on my own ability to get it done myself.🤣

I can't make it tomorrow, but I'm available this Friday. I'm just hoping one of those "tough guys" lurking around this forum actually steps up and does some real work for once.🤷

Looking for someone with just the right amount of controlled aggression🤣

Look, you've been hanging around this forum forever, so I'm sure you've got some pull with the mods. Just tell them to go ahead and ban every single person who refuses to step up and take action—no exceptions. We don't have room for cowards or losers here.

When that request comes from someone who’s already got a permanent ban, I'm not sure how much they'll be in the mood to help out.😁

Look, if I jumped into the construction phase, I’d probably just get in everyone's way and end up causing more headaches than actually helping. But once those heavy-duty renovations are wrapped up, I’d love to pitch in with some furniture. I’ve got one high-end armchair—brand new, seriously top-tier stuff—and who knows, maybe I can dig up a few other things too. When you guys are ready, just shoot me a DM...👍

Angela Newman33, what on earth does that mean—"we need mindless labor"?😬

Angela Newman33, what do you mean by "we need dumb labor"?😬

You know, that kind of crew that doesn't need to think—just acts as a human stabilizer or a literal forklift.
If I actually had any muscle, I'd definitely fall into that category myself.😁

And get this—here comes the CEO with his fancy PDF presentation, looking for cheap, mindless manual labor...😂

Nathan Ramirez11 said:Man, check this out—some doctor puts out a PDF basically looking for die-hard fans to come in and do all the grunt work for pennies. Unbelievable.😂

What am I supposed to do? I can't exactly go around scaring off the guys who don't know how to lay a single brick, install a window, or even hang a sheet of drywall.
It’s honestly such a relief when you’ve got a few people in the mix who actually know their stuff—you know, the ones who can actually steer the ship so the rest of us don't just drift aimlessly. 😁

So, I was basically being super helpful today—I spent the whole time lugging a work light around for the contractors while they were patching up the walls in my room. Not gonna lie, it didn't exactly require a PhD or any massive intellectual heavy lifting, but hey, someone had to do it. 🤣

Man, I’m really hoping I get off easy with the cabbage rolls—I definitely don't need a beatdown for dropping such a massive insult. 😉

As long as there are a few pros in the mix who actually know their stuff, they can guide the rest of us through the chaos.😁

Take today, for example. I was incredibly "productive." I spent the whole afternoon lugging a work light around for the contractors while they were smoothing out the walls... I won't pretend it required any heavy lifting or deep intellectual prowess on my part, let's be real.🤣

I just hope I don't get beat up for that massive insult. Fingers crossed! :trep trep:

Look, I'm mostly kidding. I don't know if you're the one secretly running this whole operation, but if you are, consider me on your side...🙏.. seriously though, you're actually active here. That’s not just empty talk—if there were more people like you around, this place would be a much better experience for everyone. Just give us a heads-up when it's time to start looking at furniture...👍

To all the fans who actually stepped up for this drive - 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏:

Honestly, seeing people actually give a damn about stuff like this... it’s one of the few things that keeps you from losing total faith in everyone.

I’d probably jump in myself if I wasn't living way out in Seattle now. Too far away to make a difference, I guess.

Sending good vibes from the West Coast
