Lisa Taylor said:I don't get why people who are buddies with Till are getting signed up for roles 😕 what does that even have to do with the topic at hand? If you want her so bad, just take her home, but let some normal woman handle the moderation.

Oh, how helpful of you to have someone to suggest, isn't it? 😁

Honestly, it’s a universal rule on this forum and everywhere else—when things start going downhill, passions flare up, and everyone starts foaming at the mouth (usually because they provoked it themselves), they resort to the oldest trick in the book: when you can't win an argument against your opponent, go scream at the moderator!

Look, I'm not saying moderators are perfect, but if you're going to label someone a "total failure," you should probably bring more to the table than just "everyone was being rude." And frankly, I'm confused—in one post she's incompetent because she didn't punish the rudeness, and in the next, she's incompetent because she's handing out too many bans and being too strict.

Until we find a moderator who can somehow juggle both the carrot and the stick—finding a way to satisfy the people who got hit with the stick so they don't whine about not getting the carrot, and vice versa—threads like this will keep blooming. Forever.

And that's fine. That's why this place exists.

But man, how many times have I seen these "kill the moderator" crusades? If something specific bothers you—and I mean specifically, not just a general grievance 😁—then say it. You can't call someone universally incompetent just because some third party trashed a thread that was going to be dead in two days anyway.

Brenda Carter24 said:I've been reading through a few threads regarding this controversial topic, and I find myself siding with Hannah Davis18.
Everything that was said by the original poster and others regarding cosmetics and fashion—and even some other subforums—might be slightly exaggerated, sure, but that’s just how it goes. One part of the issue is that the truth hurts because it's often brutal; the other part is that certain offended prima donnas have simply wrapped the truth inside an insult and then acted all high and mighty about it.😉
Threads like these are actually quite useful for self-reflection, wouldn't you agree?

What’s the expression? The owl mocking the shadow? 😁

Look, it’s not as if the unknown and the unknown are somehow isolated from cliques or social circles. Call it whatever you want.

But let's face it: this thread is pure trolling. You can cling to your eyelashes and insist that the content is just a bit exaggerated, yet fundamentally true. 🙂

Angela Flores76 said:What’s the saying again? Was it "laughing at the owl's shadow"? 😁

Look, it’s not like the unknown and the unknown are totally detached from their cliques or whatever you want to call them.

But let's be real—this whole thing is just trolling. You can try to cling to your little excuses, claiming things are just slightly exaggerated, yet true. 🙂

Are you seriously implying that's me?? 😁

Anyway, if Hannah Davis18 was already moderating that thread, she could have moderated it properly... I don't feel personally attacked or anything, but honestly, this blatant bias is driving me insane. If you're going to be biased, you shouldn't be a moderator...

Tyler Bishop56 said:I think she’s actually one of the better moderators on this forum

Good Lord, what a statement 🤣.

Here is a prime example of how Hannah Davis18 moderates:

Nex posts total nonsense in the thread and gets away with it, yet Hellene replies and gets a yellow card... unfair, perhaps?

Furthermore, Hannah Davis18 is being snarky here:

but then hands out a red card to Despine's response:

Unfair, perhaps?

If you look at the end of the thread: it’s obvious the moderator is trolling, yet she hands out cards to others for the exact same thing. Unfair, perhaps?

Calling her a good moderator? There have been endless examples like this since she started moderating...

And look at this, moderator Hannah Davis18 kicking a fashionista off the thread:

Then Hannah Davis18 starts mocking her...

I wonder if any of the admins will actually step in...

Angela Flores76 said:How does that old saying go... the owl mocked the shadow? 😁

I suppose it isn't quite accurate to suggest that unknown and unknown are entirely isolated from their respective cliques or little social circles... call it whatever helps you sleep at night.

However, the reality remains that this entire thread is nothing more than trolling; one could certainly cling to the desperate hope that certain claims made here are slightly exaggerated, yet fundamentally true. 🙂

I wouldn't quite go that far myself...😉
The objective truth, based on my own observations, is that you rarely encounter anyone on unknown or unknown who greets you with blatant arrogance or chooses to ignore you simply because you aren't part of some exclusive "inner circle."
I am certainly not suggesting that cosmetics and fashion are perfect—after all, I navigate both spaces independently without much concern for the digital social ladder—but it is an undeniable fact that I frequently read complaints from both veteran and new members regarding the management of either the fashion or the cosmetics sections. 😉
Especially since, looking through the main pages, I see only a handful of constructive critiques; I would need to read much more before I could give a definitive opinion like Hannah Davis18👎, but I cannot shake the impression that there has been a steady stream of "poison" directed toward the women in those sections for quite some time now... though I wouldn't go so far as to say the entire town is intentionally lying. 😉

Come on, people—have you heard about this little bit of healthy, clean chaos?

The unknown is completely nonsensical anyway—but that’s just how it is. 😬
This whole thread—specifically this "critique" of other subforums that sparked everything in the first place—has actually brought a breath of fresh air to the unknown via sarcasm; a sarcasm that is clearly lost on those coddled by trivialities and taken as an insult from the jump.
I honestly thought Hannah Davis18 would have handed out red cards to everyone involved in that thread yesterday, but nothing happened—mostly because certain individuals just came crawling back for more. 😈

You know what? Even though I’ve never stepped foot in the cosmetics and fashion section before, I am officially tuning in from now on—because apparently, Big Brother, Esmeralda, and that whole other mess are nothing compared to him.

Seriously, whoever thought they could jump into an argument—especially in that thread over at the unknown—should have been ready to get absolutely shredded. That's it. Like they say, no regrets after you've gone all in. You can't have it both ways.
(That's honestly why I stayed quiet on that topic—I definitely would've ended up getting banned 🙈)

And yeah, Hannah Davis18—you're a legend. We'd basically have to invent someone like you if you weren't here. 👍🙏

Not exactly, though it would be quite refreshing if we could finally settle this ongoing dispute between the Fashionistas and the Estheticians once and for all.😬
It has been dragging on for years now, and frankly, it might be time for those who feel so deeply offended to take a moment of quiet reflection... perhaps to consider why such a vast number of people seem to have grievances regarding both fashion and cosmetics.🤷

I don't know, maybe I'm just seeing things, but there's something about this whole situation that feels off. Like, I can't quite put my finger on it, but I guess I'm just being skeptical. Whatever. says:
Nice job on this... turns out you can actually write.
Signature..
unknown is just some chill guy who hangs out to mess around and occasionally clears out the chat...
Hannah Davis18 is actually a killer moderator, and honestly, along with that other smart bitch, she isn't even biased... I guess.

Do you girls even know the difference between just messing around and actually being straight-up insulting with slurs?
Here’s an example of how those girls insult people when they claim to write about cosmetics and fashion. Honestly, I don't see any actual insults here besides calling someone a tennis ball, but there aren't really any real insults coming from the users who post on that unknown site:

Innocent is going full throttle right now.
Innocent is going full throttle again for the second time.

Aaron Barrett6, look at you calling us crazy women with all that irony... and yet nobody’s even bothered to call you out on it. Bravo, I guess. Real classy move.👍

That mermaid is calling us losers.

And then you get those people who didn't even get insulted, but they still open up a whole new thread just to complain... I guess.
Oh my God...🙄🙄🙄

I was stuck at work, so I didn't get a chance to look.

I mean, I guess some of the people on this thread were actually pretty happy with how the mods were handling things for a few pages there.

example: mermaid😉

I don't even know where to start with this. I guess it's just one of those days where everything feels a bit off, you know? Maybe I'm just overthinking it, but whatever. It's fine.Look, I just dropped a warning about those entries. It was basically calling out the sheer stupidity and how primitive the whole thing is.
example

It’s kind of funny how all the reports for insults seem to come exclusively from women over on that one forum, yet I haven't seen a single thing from the people who spend their whole time opening threads in the complaints section. Honestly, I've never even run into some of those usernames on the actual site, and it's not like I'm not there all the time. 😲
So, regarding my mental state... honestly, since this is coming from someone with less than 100 posts on here, I don't even know what to say. Maybe there's nothing worth mentioning.😢
I won't even pretend otherwise—there are some seriously great people on here whose posts are actually worth reading. I’m honestly just glad they're part of this community.
I don't agree with tennisball123 at all, but I'm not gonna call them an idiot or anything.

So, she finally got banned. Innocent actually got her ass kicked because she was rambling on about mental institutions and then had the nerve to call me autistic.
Look, regarding my own slip-ups—I’m not even trying to hide them. I know I mess up sometimes. And honestly? I don't spend my entire day obsessing over every single thread here either. At the end of the day, I'm just a regular user first, and a mod second. Maybe that's how it should be, I guess.

Look, I’m not about to give up my luxury of hanging out on this forum, but being called out over every little nothing is just getting ridiculous.
I mean, at the end of the day, someone's always getting screwed over while everyone else gets off easy. I guess.
The whole point is—we all know how this forum's tone gets, and yeah, maybe some posts push the limits of good taste. Honestly, I’m just glad that the people whose posts I actually respect didn't cave in or start firing back with those typical "you're mentally challenged" or "you're just frustrated" insults. And when they did clap back? They kept it classy and handled it like ladies. Exactly how it should be. I guess we're talking about moms now? Or maybe just older women in general. Whatever.. 😬 😍

It’s been dragging on for years. Maybe since they feel so insulted, they could actually stop and think about why so many people have an issue with fashion and beauty🤷

They shouldn't change anything, though. For what? Who's gonna write here? This forum is huge. And on the other site, everything goes until someone gets hit with a post that makes them look like a total joke, and then you guys act like such drama queens.☕

It's kind of funny to me how every single forum has its own unwritten rules. Everyone knows them. Like, which styles are okay and what the writing level should be.
For example, it was mentioned on the other site that some people can even post in fashion and beauty if they stay polite, and I haven't seen any of them being rude, whether on that site or among the people I know here. And I've been around for over 6 years.😲

I beg to differ!🤷
There is a massive distinction between hosting a single shared discussion thread and effectively paralyzing an entire sub-forum... though I suppose I should step away from this conversation before I lose my objectivity and find myself facing yet another ban much to my chagrin...😬
Anyway, long live the unknown and the unknown...👍

If I stay any longer, I’ll start sounding biased, and we all know how much the moderators love handing out bans when someone loses their cool, don't we?😬

Who paralyzed which sub-forum? What on earth are you talking about? 😕

This reminds me of that whole meltdown on another subforum not too long ago, where a bunch of self-righteous types who never even show up here suddenly decided they were outraged over some kid being targeted.

God bless her soul and forgive her jealousy if she’s actually a solid contributor who just wants to post freely on her own threads. If people want to listen to her, fine—let them. Most of us and God have been bored of her drama for ages.

It’s honestly embarrassing that a moderator would even allow a thread like this to exist on her page. It was clearly designed with one goal in mind: to insult the users over on the other subforums. She knew exactly what she was doing, didn't she? She knew it would spark a revolt among the people being targeted, and she just sat there waiting with those bans ready to go instead of shutting it down the second it became obvious where things were headed.
Honestly, if you want to find the real reason behind this sudden crusade against the girls over at the cosmetics and fashion board, you have to look at the moderator herself. Maybe she felt a little stung because her own makeup looks didn't get the standing ovation she was expecting from the community.🙄Even though she claims her ego isn't bruised, everything she’s saying and doing in this thread tells a completely different story.
There really isn't any other way to explain why someone would open and fuel such a trolling thread, unless it's just pure personal vendetta or plain old spite.

granitewolf6 said:It reminds me of that time on another sub-forum when people tried to act like dictators. A bunch of moral crusaders who barely even post there suddenly jumped on a bandwagon to act like little kids were being harmed.

I hope The Innocents finds peace, and honestly, if she’s a solid contributor on other boards where she posts freely, her jealousy doesn't matter. If someone wants to listen to her, let them. Most people found her presence old news a long time ago.

Please don't lecture me on things you don't fully understand!
I don't think it's particularly classy to mock someone over a miscarriage, regardless of what else you want to say about her.
She was one of the few people who actually stood up to the person who exposed it, and I respect her for that.

I get that you aren't a fan, but she usually makes valid points and fights for the right reasons. Try keeping that in mind next time you reflexively take her side against.

This goes for anyone attacking The Innocents without having any real arguments to back it up.🙂

Look, I don't think it's cool to mock someone just because they went through a miscarriage, so say what you want.
She’s actually one of the few people who stood up for someone when that was brought up, and honestly, I respect her for that.

I get that she isn't your favorite person, but usually, she's right and fights for the right reasons. Maybe try keeping that in mind next time you reflexively jump to the other side.

This goes for anyone rooting against The Innocents without having any actual arguments to back it up. 🙂

😬

Now you're bringing up a third party? I'm not talking about some random third person... And I definitely wasn't thinking about anyone else when I mentioned the tyranny. That whole mess was mostly driven by the puppet master pulling the strings behind the scenes, not some bystander.

I've crossed paths with her on this forum a few times now, and I've seen firsthand what kind of stuff she stands for. My opinion of her—whether I like her or not—is based exactly on that.

I ran into her again in that thread we were talking about, so I saw it all play out once more. 🙏

Rebecca Cruz51 said:It’s honestly embarrassing that a moderator would even let a thread like this exist on an Estée Lauder board. The whole point of this thing is just to take shots at people who move over to other subforums. It’s pretty obvious she knew this was going to trigger a massive blowout among the users she's targeting, and of course, she just sat there waiting to hand out bans instead of shutting it down immediately when it was clear where things were headed.
But if you ask me, the real reason behind this crusade against the ladies over at Estée Lauder probably boils down to something personal. Maybe our moderator friend here got her feelings hurt because her makeup looks didn't exactly get a standing ovation on the Estée Lauder boards... 🙄 Even though she claims her ego isn't bruised, everything she’s saying and doing in this thread tells a completely different story.
There’s really no other explanation for starting and fueling such a troll thread, unless it's just pure personal vendetta or some petty drama...

This moderator clearly took it hard because her makeup tutorials didn't get the standing ovation she thought they deserved on the Estée Lauder boards. 🙄 She can claim all she wants that her ego isn't bruised, but just look at how she's acting and everything she's saying about this topic—it screams insecurity.
There is zero logical explanation for starting and fueling such a troll thread unless it's pure personal vendetta or just straight-up petty spite.

nah, enough 🙄

The purpose of this subforum is basically just to mess around. I honestly don't get why everyone is being so serious about how "the moderator shouldn't have allowed that thread..." Look, guys, this is the playground sub!

Innocent got banned for a few days because she really did cross the line. A few other posters on that thread got flagged too—and yeah, I'll admit things spiraled out of control for a moment and they should have stepped in harder 😉—but the thread was closed.

And this one is the same story...

ps: Kisikana, please find a new hobby. This whole thing where you hunt for moderator mistakes isn't funny anymore
