Rhinoplasty: Experiences and recovery tips?

Look, it doesn't matter—it doesn't change the fact that you’re totally insecure and you're getting surgery just to please everyone else instead of doing it "for yourself." 😉

I am NOT insecure, and honestly, even with this broken nose, I look great. The whole point is—and yeah, I know I already said this, but apparently I have to repeat myself like a broken record for you to actually get it—that I have a mountain of health issues because of this nasal injury.
And for the record, I'm having the surgery for myself.

For those of you who’ve already been through it, or are getting ready for surgery: what did you wear to the hospital and what were you wearing during the procedure? What do you think is actually worth bringing along?

Should I bring anything specific? Or will they provide everything? My nurse hasn't mentioned a thing regarding this. 🤷

Just wear whatever makes you comfortable. My advice? Go for soft, roomy, loose-fitting clothes. Personally, I wore cotton sweatpants, some slip-on flats (super comfy), and a basic T-shirt. You basically head into the OR in just your underwear and that little gown they give you. I actually forgot my slippers, so I ended up walking around in my flats. 😁
And bring some pajamas. 😉

What actually happens at the follow-up after two months?
Nothing fancy—it’s usually just the doctor giving everything a quick once-over
And does this cost anything? I'm really hoping it doesn't...🙂

In my case, they just checked out my nose and took a couple of photos—took maybe five minutes tops—and I didn't have to pay a dime.🙄

Honey, please, just take a deep breath and calm down. You're only making your own life harder by spiraling like this. You don't feel a thing. When they were taking my molds, Dr. Rajko Tončić even asked if I felt anything, and I told him I couldn't even tell because they had me so "comfortably sedated." If you're going to be this worked up over needles, maybe you shouldn't even go through with the surgery. Do it for your own peace of mind. Just look at this as a normal part of life. Get it done, just like any other annoying errand you have to run. And once it's over, you'll be happy with the results for the rest of your life.

I’m done thinking about that anesthesia situation or quoting anything regarding it! 🙂 It’s better for me this way...

Do I actually get to pick which hospital handles the tonsillectomy—or does my primary care doctor just handpick one for me???

Which facility is actually any good?
The local City General?
The big metropolitan center?
Or where else?

So why is it that if you go to the hospital for surgery, you’re stuck there for 5 to 7 days, but at a private clinic, you’re heading home by the second day?😕

Look, don't stress too much—honestly, Dr. Rajko Tončić will probably check you over again right before the actual surgery anyway. They have to map out the procedure or whatever. I had my consultation with Rajko Tončić, and then on the day of the surgery, they both went over everything with me again (both of them), which felt totally normal to me—plus, with how "nervous" I was, it was actually kind of comforting! You really just need to sit down and decide if you actually want this operation or not, you know? Like, how much does this matter for your own peace of mind... anyway, good luck! With private care, you just pay the bill and you're done. But hospitals have to cover their own costs, so the longer you stay, the better it is for their bottom line.😉

They aren't doing any "cold" surgeries over at the Oakwood facility right now... they're short on anesthesiologists...
