Grandkids

A few days ago, I noticed a little bump on the roof of my mouth. It doesn't really hurt or anything, but I'm feeling a bit anxious about it. I was wondering if anyone else has dealt with something similar? Does anyone have any idea what this might be?

Maybe it’s just a burn—explains why it’s blistered—or maybe you bit your palate on something while eating and now there's a minor infection that'll clear up on its own...

I mean, I can't really help not worrying about it. It kind of faded away overnight, but today the feeling is back and it seems stronger.
I guess... could this have anything to do with smoking?

I recently dealt with some gum inflammation, and just six months ago, I had a professional deep cleaning from my periodontist. Everything was perfectly fine until this irritation resurfaced recently. Does anyone know why this might be happening again? I am extremely diligent about brushing with a specialized toothbrush and specific oral care products. I would truly appreciate any advice you can offer! Thank you.
