I have to admit, I’m really not a fan of this new layout for the Politics section.

There are just too many sub-sections now; I find myself wandering through the site wondering where specific topics went or why they were tucked away in such odd corners. If I click over to a different thread or an external link and then want to jump back to Politics to check for updates, it turns into a five-minute scavenger hunt through various sub-folders just to find my way home.

In my view, this new structure isn't an improvement at all—it's just more cluttered and needlessly complex than what we had before.🤷

I realize there was plenty of pushback previously—and yes, I was one of those voices calling for change myself...😁—but those complaints were largely directed at how moderators were moving threads around without much explanation. It was a critique of the "human element" and inconsistent moderation, rather than a fundamental issue with the actual organization of the boards.

redhawk76, I'm right there with you on this, the whole situation is just pure chaos.

It feels like everything was intentionally set up so that the "main" section has become nothing more than conspiracy theory politics and mindless political gossip, while every other topic just gets buried under endless layers of redundant documentation. 🤷😁

Coming from the old edge cases... things have been a bit chaotic. We’ve put together two new PDFs, including the latest Election report. Since we usually roll these out during the pre-election cycle anyway, we figured this format would be smoother and easier to navigate for everyone. It’ll take a moment to get used to, obviously. Following standard political protocol, we’ll give it a 100-day trial period to see how everything actually settles in.

It’s honestly laughable—total chaos. At this point, nobody even knows who’s footing the bill or who’s actually calling the shots.

Honestly, the whole political scene right now is exactly like that.😁
Politics—and I’m not talking about this specific sub—has basically turned into a crime blotter rather than actual policy discussion.
There aren't even real political topics left; it's just endless scandals and petty drama being debated under the guise of "politics," which has about as much to do with actual governance as trash does with outer space.

I think this sub actually works pretty well given the kind of insanity it manages to unpack.

Because let's be real—when I see certain thread titles, I don't even know where to file them if I were some high-and-mighty moderator.😁 Do they go under jokes, law, economy, history, pure madness, or just straight-up garbage?🤷

It's all just "Anthony said this," "George claimed that," "Peter thinks," "Ivan announced," "who was Nu2's guest," "where did Ivan mess up," "where did Jacqueline spill her drink," "where did Joe disappear to," or "some random guy popped up out of nowhere".......🙄
We haven't had a single legitimate political topic for months. What's happening in the US political landscape right now has zero connection to actual policy, none at all.
So yeah, this sub is functioning perfectly in sync with reality—it works great precisely because everything else is such a disaster.
