Beetlejuice (1988)

Let’s take a second to appreciate a total classic that some of you might actually still have good taste for—one of those movies people still rewatch over and over again (Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice)

I’ve gotta say, I am absolutely obsessed with Tim Burton’s whole vibe—his style, his characters, everything. This 1988 horror-comedy hit the spot perfectly for me. Honestly, that entire run of his movies from the late '80s through the early '90s is my absolute favorite era—stuff like 🙏
Beetlejuice, Batman, Edward Scissorhands, Batman Returns, and Ed Wood.

I’ve always had a deep appreciation for Tim Burton, and I actually still have a copy of Beetlejuice on VHS; the tape is honestly falling apart from how many times I've played it, but I just can't help myself because it's such a classic.😁
Even the animated version really resonated with me, though I suppose I eventually outgrew that stage of my life.😂

I’m honestly such a huge fan of both the animation and the live-action version 😍. It’s a real shame they don't stream it anymore... Bubimir, Bubimir, Bubimir!!!

Tim Burton is just brilliant.
And honestly, Bubimir is one of my absolute favorite movies. I could probably watch it on repeat forever and never get bored of it.
Michael Keaton has such an incredible filmography, and that specific role fits him like a glove.

What an absolute masterpiece!
It’s sitting right at the top of those "all-time most watched" lists—mostly thanks to the lower classes, if you catch my drift, haha. I remember being obsessed with this movie when I was just a kid.

Did you know that back in his younger days, Tim Burton actually visited a major animation studio in Washington, D.C. and was completely mesmerized by their animation style? It’s hard not to wonder if those early experiences helped shape the unique visual language we see in his later work...

The movie itself is absolutely fantastic—I’ve always been a huge fan of both the feature and the animated shorts.🙂

I actually just sat down and revisited this one after more than a decade, and honestly, it took me right back to being a kid watching it on the living room sofa with my parents and my brother. I clearly remember certain scenes being genuinely terrifying to me back then, which is funny looking back. It was such a lovely trip down memory lane, though. Just a beautiful film 😍

I mean, Michael Keaton is absolutely brilliant—really top-tier stuff—but Wynona? She’s just lost it, I guess.
Still, I am actually looking forward to the sequel.
