Hello everyone. 😉
I am dealing with a persistent skin issue. Ever since I moved away from my hometown, my legs have been itching constantly. It spans from my groin down to my ankles—though the knees and shins seem to be hit harder—and sometimes it flares up on my stomach or right where my bra clasp sits. It happens sporadically during the day, but once I lie down at night, the agony truly begins. 🤣

I suffer from allergies, though I do my best to avoid triggers. I've tried various moisturizing creams, but they only seemed to make the itching worse. Even baby oil provided no relief. I eventually switched from using a razor to an electric epilator, which helped slightly, but the primary itch remains. There are no major visible changes to my skin, though, God knows, there are occasionally tiny red dots around my knees, but nothing significant.

A friend mentioned that her husband deals with diabetes and experiences leg itching whenever his blood sugar spikes. Could there be any connection there?

Please help.🙏 🙏 🤷

If you're serious about dodging allergens, you really have to watch everything you put on your body—it’s not just food, I guess. You have to be incredibly picky about which soaps and shampoos you grab from the shelf (since there's a bit of a wild west out there these days), what kind of lotions you're slathering on, and even the fabrics you choose for your clothes.
It might actually be worth it—if you have the patience—to go through the whole testing process all over again.

My therapist actually suggested that it might all be psychological... I’ve gone through several allergy tests over the years, and honestly? Nothing ever turned up. Sure, maybe there's some food connection buried in there somewhere, but I highly doubt it—besides, who actually has the patience to play the "test every single ingredient" game? It sounds exhausting. I eat just about whatever I want and just rely on my antihistamines to get me through 🙂

I’ve been dealing with this constant itching running from my knees down to my tailbone, and honestly, my skin was a total mess—super irritated and practically raw from scratching at the same spots over and over.
Things are looking up a bit now that I’m being more proactive about moisturizing—not just when it's itchy, but staying ahead of it while things are calm. I've also ditched the razors entirely. From what I’ve gathered, most of this stems from food allergies; the general rule of thumb is that food allergies show up on your skin, whereas plant or pollen allergies usually hit your respiratory system. When the itching gets out of hand on my legs, I’ll use a medicated cream from the drugstore containing corticosteroids, but we all know you shouldn't overdo those, so I only break them out for emergencies.

The real issue lately, though, is that I’ve started getting an itch right along my hairline—you know, where the hair meets the forehead—as well as around my mouth, lips, and beard area.
The weird thing is, the skin doesn't even look red or damaged there; it just itches. Even after I scratch, the skin looks perfectly normal, just like any other part of my body.
Has anyone else dealt with something like this???

I was taking Telfast for a while to manage the allergies, but I stopped because the symptoms usually clear up on their own in a few days, and I really don't want to become dependent on pills. I’m also pretty convinced that stress plays a role—at least in my case—since I’ve noticed things flare up way less often when I'm feeling more relaxed.

I've got this itching on my legs—it hits one specific spot and becomes absolutely unbearable. I end up scratching until I actually break the skin and bleed, and only then does the itch subside a little. Afterward, I'm just left with a bloody scab surrounded by redness. It’s popping up in multiple spots on both legs, mostly above the ankles (I've got about 20 of these little sores/spots on both legs right now), plus one single spot behind the knee. Basically, most of them are clustered above the ankles.

The last time this happened, it was way worse—about 2 or 3 years ago during the summer while we were vacationing in some apartments in Santa Barbara. Someone else in our group dealt with it too. Back then, I ended up with at least 50 sores on both legs; it was excruciating. I looked terrible—just covered in wounds and red patches all over my legs. I originally figured it was just mosquitoes, which seemed like a logical explanation, but mosquito bites usually clear up in a few days—these lasted for weeks. I didn't see a doctor, but if I had known it would be this bad, I definitely would have.

Now, it's happening all over again. Unfortunately, I can't really make it to a doctor right now because of work—I don't have any time off. Since I don't think it's super serious yet, I'd rather figure out what the cause might be first. That way, if things take a turn for the worse, I'll be ready to book an appointment. My fear is that a doctor will just refer me for more tests anyway, which would eat up several days of time I simply don't have. Maybe someone here knows some alternative remedies.

The issue is that the itch returns to those same spots after a few days. Once it flares up in one spot, I scratch until I bleed and then it settles down. A wound and some redness remain, the itch stops for a few days, and then it comes right back to the exact same spot. I scratch it again, bleed again, and then it settles...

From what I can tell, it isn't spreading; I have a maximum of 20 spots total.

I don't think it's mosquitoes since those heal much faster. Could it be fleas or some other insect? I'm worried it might be diabetes, but I don't have any other symptoms—no extreme hunger, no thirst, and I haven't lost any weight over the last few years...🙂

Anyone have a clue what this could be???
