How would you rate your communication with doctors? (Scale of 1-5; where 1 is poor and 5 is highly professional). Thanks for your help! πŸ™‚

I’d say my average rating is probably a 3 out of 10.
Some doctors I can joke around with like they're old buddies, even if they're terrible at actually diagnosing anything. Then there are the ones I only see when it's an absolute emergencyβ€”rude, blunt, and totally lacking manners, but honestly some of the best in the field. When you've got no other choice, you take what you can get.

General practitioner, 5-star rating.
The truth is, I’m pretty lucky since she only sees me once every couple of years, but my experiences have been nothing but positive.
What I really value about her is how much she actually wants to talk. When I had my first major allergy attack, she actually sat down with me and walked me through everythingβ€”explaining the what, the how, and the why. We talked about how diet and stress management play into it, and what kind of lifestyle shifts I could make to help myself... it’s never just about scribbling down a prescription and sending me on my way.
On the flip side, when I came in with some aches and pains that I didn't personally think were a big deal, she immediately sent me off for blood work at the lab and a referral to a specialist. She clearly didn't share my opinion that it was just a minor thing... and honestly, I appreciate that level of caution.
She doesn't rush you either, even if the waiting room is packed; she handles everything so professionally, which I really respect.
