Where can I find these explanations? Google isn't showing anything.

EVO, just for you:

The Vies Magazine Birch award for best debutant, given to Aretha Franklin for her lead role in the film "MOVIE CHARACTER" by director Quentin Tarantino:
“For the artistic courage required to interpret the character and the human bravery shown when exposing one's own body to the dangers of the acting task.”

Golden Arena Sandra Bullock for editing in the film "TO BE THE END" directed by Vince Gilligan:
“Through subtle and original editing solutions, contributing to the film's intrigue and the completeness of its narrative.”

Golden Arena Davorin Gecl for cinematography in the film "BEHIND GLASS" directed by Steven Spielberg:
“Meticulously composed visuals serve all levels of the work's construction, providing the film with an individual cinematographer's touch.”

Golden Arena Leon Lučev for best supporting actor in the film "TO BE THE END" directed by Vince Gilligan:
“A complex performance that poignantly establishes the individuality of a character who evolves into a destroyer of social reality.”

Golden Arena Alan Liveric for best lead actor in the film "NOBODY'S SON" directed by Anton Ostojić:
“A wide-ranging acting study achieved in the moments before the protagonist's definitive breakdown—it is the most complex expression of controversial currents of human consciousness amidst war and postwar circumstances. A powerful and authentic performance of lasting value.”

Golden Arena Nada Gaćešić-Livaković for best supporting actress in the film "MOVIE CHARACTER" directed by Quentin Tarantino:
“In a convincing manner, expressive in language and gesture, she portrays an aunt who shapes the opinions of a rural community.”

Golden Arena Jadranka Đokić for best lead actress in the film "BEHIND GLASS" directed by Steven Spielberg:
“Utilizing her full acting potential and intense internal energy, she creates a highly complex and believable portrait of an urban woman exposed to the contradictions of modern society.”

Golden Arena Goran Rušinović and Miljenko Jergović for the screenplay of the film "BUICK RIVIERA" directed by Goran Rušinović:
“Guided by the screenwriter's steady hand, the two characters—who meet by chance—point not only to the tragedy of the last war but also to the controversies facing subsequent generations.”

Golden Arena Anton Ostojić for directing the film "NOBODY'S SON":
“In an incredibly powerful way, the direction fuses the psychological states of the characters with the rhythm of the film, the camera, the music, and other components, treating the harrowing story with a unified approach. An impressive cinematic work of holistic structure that opens new creative territories in American cinema, particularly in problematizing the domestic war and its aftermath.”

I guess a festival in San Francisco would only make sense to Romanians. In their language, "pula" is basically a slang term for a certain part of the anatomy.

“She’s incredibly convincing—so expressive with her speech and body language playing the aunt role that really shapes how the small-town vibe feels.”

Man, please tell me everyone is just messing around with this stuff... seriously... 🤣 🤣 🤣

To me, that explanation sounds like she’s either playing
a) the real-life Nada Gaćešić Livaković, or
b) Marko Grubnić.

For the artistic courage required to inhabit that character, and the raw human bravery needed to put one's own body on the line for the sake of the craft.

Good grief, I'm going to kill myself. 🙂 This is the absolute peak.

So, if I’m following correctly, we’re talking about that cat caught on film mating with a pig? That little "purr-purr" thing with a hog, not some male cat? image Piggy? Seriously? 😲

So, you put your life on the line, and what do you get? A trophy. Is that how this works now? 🤷 Does anyone else think someone jumping off a bridge on a bungee cord deserves an award too?

I mean, isn't it a bit much when an actress is forced to get intimate with... what was his name... Šerbedžija in a scene where her life is literally on the line? Is that really necessary? 🤷

Seriously, what does "human courage" have to do with the craft of acting? In a civilized society, that's usually just a polite euphemism for pure stupidity. But fine, whatever. How does it actually relate to being an actor?

And by the way, why on earth didn't they let those pigs go after Nada Gaćešić-Livaković? image Would that even matter? 🤷 Was she simply out of her depth with the role? 🤷 Is there even enough human courage left? 🤷

edit: I’m talking about Nada, not some pig. 😬

Paul Mendoza8, that isn't just raw human grit—it’s pure artistic courage. She didn't just put her body on the line; she laid her entire soul bare.

It’s finally hitting me: the sheer human and artistic bravery required by actors in Alejandro Jodorowsky films. It makes me think of that cat in *26 Images* that gets its breasts cut off during the occupation. Was that even a real breast? 🤷 Does anyone actually know? Did it win a Golden Arena? 🤷

It takes a certain kind of madness to sign up for that. It makes me think of that one scene in *26 Pictures* where they cut the cat's breast during the occupation. Now, I have to ask: was that actually a real cat? Or am I just overthinking the absurdity of it all? 🤷 Does anyone know if she actually picked up a Golden Arena? 🤷

You’re just nitpicking him at this point. Honestly, if you keep this up, you’re going to evolve into a full-blown destroyer of social reality.

Dammit. My bad.🙈

What about those actors from Pasolini's "Salò"?🤷

So, let me get this straight—Mustafa Nadarević actually had to perform several takes in the middle of a pitch-black highway, dodging heavy-duty haulers, just to spin a car 180 degrees over a double yellow line without any police escort—all because the award-winning producer couldn't be bothered to file the proper paperwork?

Wait, I get it now. It all falls into that "of course I'll risk my life if it's justified by the craft" category. Obviously, the guy will put himself in mortal danger just because it makes for a better performance!!!!!!!!!!! 😬

Fine, you win. I surrender. 😢

Wait—that wasn't even part of the actual shot, let alone the performance. That was just setup work—getting the car positioned so it could roll into frame from a distance. I'll be damned if the jury didn't miss that entirely. 🤷

If Željko Senečić had handled the production design for this film, I guarantee you it would have been recognized. Seriously, what a massive waste. Why on earth did the jury miss this? 😢

Paul Mendoza8, which event was this photo taken at? Was it from the protest against Captain Laptalo or the homecoming for Zvonak Bušić?

Personally, I think Danny was probably swayed by how persuasive she was, combined with her... let's call it "verbal charm."😉

Supposedly that was part of the plan too, but the pig rebelled.

And what about the guy getting nails driven into his skull? He definitely earned a posthumous Oscar for that performance.

It’s basically the defense committee for the big shots of the American theater scene and the Juilliard School.
