Korn

I've been scouring this forum and couldn't find a single thread about Korn... honestly, it's a little weird that nobody has started a discussion on them yet—but fine, I'll do it myself.

Korn is a nu-metal band formed back in 1992 in California.
The lineup consists of:
* Jonathan Davis – vocals
* James Shaffer – lead guitar
* Brian Welch – rhythm guitar – left the band in 2005.
* Reginald Arvizu – bass
* David Silverio - drums

They dropped their debut album, "Korn," in 1994, but they really hit the big time in 1998 with their third record, "Follow The leader." That same year, they released their massive hit, "Freak on a Leash," which earned them a Grammy for Best Short Form Music Video in '99. They also kicked off their "Family Values" tour in '98—a tour that basically lives on to this day. They launched it alongside other rising acts at the time, including Limp Bizkit, Ice Cube, and Rammstein. The whole tour was a huge success.
They played a show in Los Angeles back in July 2007; I missed it, so hopefully they make an appearance around here again soon...

They were incredible back in the day... but man, they really let me down with that last one, Untitled... just wasn't it for me... honestly feels like the same kind of shit Static-X put out on Cannibal...

A new album is slated for release next summer, and here’s the breakdown from Wikipedia regarding the upcoming project:

Davis confirmed that Ross Robinson would be producing The album.[3] Robinson also produced the band's demo tape, Neidermeyer's Mind, along with their first two studio albums, Korn and Life is Peachy. Since those Robinson-era records defined the band's peak nu metal phase, it makes sense why Arvizu suggested the album would lean back into that heavier sound.

Now we just wait and see.😉

I was absolutely obsessed with Korn when I was 14 😍
Nowadays, the only thing that really hits is Trash; it’s just so provocative 😍

Anyway, Korn = those first two albums 🙏, while everything else is just 👎 their later discography

Korn is an incredible band, easily one of the best nu-metal groups out there.

Honestly, they were fucking killer back when they were still underground in the 90s.😁

But then things shifted once every teenage groupie started losing their minds over Jonathan Davis, and after they went mainstream and got all commercialized, I just couldn't deal with them anymore.😁

Still, you can't deny they have a great sound.

From what I’ve seen at Korn concerts, the crowd is pretty much 80% guys—or maybe that's just my perception...

The first two albums were solid enough, I guess.

But once they ditched Adidas for Puma, everything just went totally downhill...

Seriously though, can someone please tell me what kind of absolute lunatic was riding Jonathan Davis's back? I’d love to send them my condolences and maybe suggest they get their eyes checked or find a decent psychiatrist.

I don't know, ask Leonard Nimoy...
but there are plenty of women out there who dig raw guys like Davis.😉
Though, I have to admit, before he packed on the weight, Davis wasn't exactly a model—far from it—but he wasn't ugly either. Now that he's basically wearing a life jacket, there's really no point in debating his looks anymore...🙄

Brilliant band, but they really peaked with Issues... everything after that was total lemon juice.👎
