Is it an STD?

I’ve got this thing on my junk ( 😛 ). I don't even know how to put it into words properly. It’s not like little bumps or anything, more like
... just this rough, sandpaper-like texture on the skin. It isn't spread out evenly, either; it's just patchy in certain spots. For context, I haven't been sleeping great lately and I haven't had any sexual activity recently...
So, does anyone actually know what this might be? Is it something I should be worried about?
It's hard to describe, but hopefully someone gets what I'm talking about 😢

I don't know. I tried looking things up on Google, but couldn't find anything that actually looks like what I'm dealing with... anyway, I'm pretty careful about hygiene and stuff, so who knows...

It’s not quite that... I mean, the shape and size aren't exactly like that. It's more that the color matches my skin perfectly, and they aren't raised up on top; they're more like they're sitting deep down in the middle...

It could also be positioned lower down.
Another possibility is genital warts, which can pop up as a result of an HP infection.
Go see your doctor to get a referral to a dermatologist so you can get a definitive answer on what we're actually dealing with.

I just looked up pictures of warts on Google, and honestly... thank God, it's not that...
So you think they're just papules then?

Man, I’ve been dealing with this exact same thing for like three years now... honestly, I was totally convinced it was HPV, but I just couldn't bring myself to go to the doctor—not even because of the doc, but because I was super embarrassed about having to tell my parents
But then, out of nowhere, I ended up stumbling onto this forum and saw those photos posted by Ivana Peca, and man, more than 98% of what I'm seeing looks just like those pictures. Seriously though, thank you so much—I feel a massive weight off my shoulders now.
For the last few years, I was stuck thinking it was definitely HPV, even though nothing really matched up with the symptoms I'd seen in those HPV photos online
