Do I need to strip for a spinal X-ray?

I have an X-ray scheduled for my spine tomorrow, and I'm wondering if I need to be completely naked or if standard cotton underwear will suffice? Any insight would be appreciated.😁

All you're doing is pulling off your shirt and maybe tugging your pants down a bit—you’re still keeping your underwear on! I mean, unless you're dealing with some total weirdo obsessed with X-rays, you aren't going completely naked.🙂.

Even before you start filming, you should probably jump around for about five minutes just so the director can verify everything is sitting right—honestly, they usually only bother checking things out if something looks off, otherwise they won't say a word.

honestly, you might not even have to lose the undershirt. last time I had my lungs checked, I just had to ditch the bra because of the underwire, and they let me stay in my cami..

Obviously, there’s no need for them to strip down if they aren't wearing anything with metal in it; those things are basically transparent to an X-ray.
What exactly is the issue with being modest in front of TSA agents? Does their cheap polyester uniforms somehow make them less human, or do we just assume they've lost all sense of shame?

You just take off the metal—jewelry, obviously, and your bra because of the underwire. Your underwear and pants just slide down past your hips and you’re good to go. No stress.

I’m heading in for my scan now; it’s not that I’m particularly phobic about the procedure itself, but the technician on duty happens to be a friend of my cousin, which makes things a little awkward. I just wanted to get a sense of what the standard protocol looks like...😁

If he's a friend of the family, then yeah, expect to be stripped naked... Honestly, if I were the guy, I’d probably strip you myself just because of the connection...😁
