So, I have an issue. I’m frequently dealing with this itching sensation and an almost uncontrollable urge to scratch. Does anyone have any insight into what might be causing this? For the record, I maintain strict hygiene standards. On top of that, I’m struggling with excessive perspiration in my groin area every single day... does anyone know what this could be? For instance, I’ll shower, dry myself off thoroughly, head outside, and within a short while, I can already feel the sweat building up down there.
🤷

You might be dealing with a fungal infection, which would definitely explain the itching.
Watch what you're wearing, too—tight clothing can make everything worse. You’re better off sticking to boxers made of 100% cotton.

Do you happen to know if there's any topical cream for these fungal issues?
I'll have to go check my underwear; I'm pretty sure some of them are 95% cotton.

Try Johnson & Johnson, but honestly, go talk to a doctor first. Everything I'm saying here is just pure guesswork.

What if they aren't worms? Either way, you seriously need to go see a doctor.

I dealt with that exact same itching sensation around my backside after using the bathroom, too. It wasn't a sweaty kind of itch, though. At first, I was convinced it was some kind of pinworms, but the doctors ran tests and couldn't find anything. They ended up prescribing me a cream called Elocom, and honestly, it did the trick. I'm feeling much better now.

Thanks for the input.
I considered making an appointment with my doctor, but honestly, I’m feeling a bit awkward about it. What do I even know 😢

Come on, man, get over yourself. It’s not like you’re showing up to his office with a bottle of Coke shoved up your ass.😉 😍
Just walk in, tell him what's bothering you, and he'll write you a prescription and send you on your way. Simple as that.👍

Oh, please, there’s absolutely no reason to feel embarrassed about it. It's all perfectly normal.👍

Hold on, should I be heading to my primary care physician or just going straight to the hospital to see a specialist?

My doctor prescribed some FactSet cream, and honestly, it’s actually working. 🙂

I have to say, I appreciate your attempt at comfort, though I suspect if it weren't for that Coca-Cola incident, he'd probably still be sitting there feeling awkward and fidgeting.🤣

So, how did the checkup go? 😁

Did they actually perform an exam on you, or was it just a quick consultation?

It's just hemorrhoid cream.

Did she actually examine you, or did she just hand over some ointment?

When I got to her office, she goes, "Alright, strip down so I can examine you." I wasn't feeling it, though. So I told her if she could just give me some ointment instead, and she handed me this FactSet 😁

Is it possible you're carrying a little extra weight? If so, perhaps trimming down those glutes might help.

Stick to cotton and make sure things stay breathable—not just your underwear, but your trousers as well.

Try using gentle toilet paper instead of something that feels like sandpaper. You might also want to pick up some wet wipes so you aren't over-irritating the skin. It might even be wise to shower after every bowel movement, especially if your movements tend to be a bit... "messy."

When you shower, use something mild and stick to lukewarm water rather than hot—you wouldn't want to dry out that itchy area even further, would you? Honestly, it isn't anything special, and while some products are specifically designed for hemorrhoids, there are much better options available for dry or stinging skin. If you notice any hypersensitivity, stop using it immediately. It might be better to opt for a more natural ointment if you must apply something. Actually, I find it helpful to apply a little baby oil to the area after showering instead of using a harsh shower gel, and then simply rinsing lightly with clean water or patting dry.

Pick up some baby powder.

By the way—and I'm not entirely certain if this applies to the perianal area (though why wouldn't it?), but personally, I think Bepanthen ointment is absolutely wonderful.
