Guys, I need help with my media player!!!!!

I’m using Azureus and just finished downloading this movie... I tried tossing it into BS Player since that's my go-to when there's no audio, but everything's fine when I open it in Windows Media Player. The only issue is I have zero clue how to load subtitles in Windows Media Player!!!

oh man, lol.

So, you just hit open, navigate to where your movie is hiding, and right there in that same window, you'll see an option at the bottom that says USE SUBTITLE FILE, so just click that and point it to your subtitle file.
Honestly, if you just make sure the subtitle file has the exact same name as the movie file, it'll pretty much just work automatically without any extra steps.

Then just fire up the movie by choosing open with Windows Media Player,

or honestly, you can just grab both the movie and the subtitle file with your mouse and drag them both straight into the Windows Media Player window.

GOM player is the answer to your prayers.
It plays everything, including subtitles—just grab the subtitle file and drag it right onto the GOM player window.

If you don't have the most practical video player yet, here it is for free.

If dragging doesn't work for you, just open the movie with GOM, hit ALT + E, then select open file (that's where you find your subtitle).

Or... if you keep the movie and the subtitle in the same folder with identical names, GOM will AUTOMATICALLY show the subtitles without you doing a thing.

I won't start a whole new thread, but I have one quick question about GOMplayer... how—or rather, where—do I set it up to display specific accented characters? Right now, instead of those letters, it's showing some weird combination like a+e = æ... thanks... cheers.

I’ve been using Windows Media Player—and let me tell you, I’ve never run into a single hiccup with my subtitles or the audio quality.

Just right-click, head over to Preferences, then Subtitle, then Others, and set the Microsoft Code Page to North American.

Azureus just crashed on me and I've no idea why. You might as well just switch over to BitTorrent or something else.
