Plus, that’s easily one of the best taglines ever written.

It’s basically just about a lawyer who finally develops a conscience, if you want the short version... 👍

...but it seems like Amanda Nguyen5 has already made up her mind about a lot of things here, and honestly, it feels like she hasn't even actually watched the film...

Caught a movie today...

So, we're looking at a thriller here. I won't spoil the plot or beat a dead horse by giving away the twists—let's just say this isn't exactly a crowd-pleaser for everyone.

Look, you can't expect universal acclaim with a piece like this; there are always going to be critics who absolutely loathe it. From what I can gather, that's exactly what's happening right now.

Honestly, the best move is to just go see it for yourself and be done with it. In terms of what's currently playing in theaters, it might actually be the smartest film out there, save for No Country for Old Men.

My rating... 10/10

Anyway, that's all for now. I'm just going to head over to the chat and check out There Will Be Blood, then I need to finish watching all five films nominated for Best Picture at the Oscar.😍

I’d have to ask you for a precise definition of what makes a film "smart."

Oh, dear... my apologies... I seem to have inadvertently insulted your absolute favorite film of all time... (I think I'll keep its name to myself just to spare you the embarrassment).......

Seriously, go out and get a life...☕

I don't follow. How does any of this actually relate to your definition of a "smart" movie?

Well, yes... that's precisely my point...

I wasn't exactly expecting you to grasp the nuance here......

As I've already stated, go get a life....☕

Just finished watching the movie. It was honestly great, and I have to say, Tilda Swinton was absolutely brilliant—probably the best part of the whole thing.

I wasn't really expecting you to get it anyway...

Honestly, I don't think you actually know what you're talking about—you're just typing stuff out to make it look like you have an opinion when there's really nothing behind it.

You can't even defend your own argument, even though I've asked you to do it multiple times now.

Look, of course I haven't seen it! Why would I need to sit through the whole thing just to answer a simple question?
A buddy of mine told me the whole story.

Man, the way he exposes them at the end is just incredible.

The thing is, you can't even defend your own argument, even though I've asked you repeatedly to provide some semblance of logic.

😂

Now, redowl90, you are truly a legend! 👍

Every single time, you manage to give me a good laugh... especially with that claim that John Rambo is the greatest film ever made!

...I mean, it’s a solid flick, but I honestly think it would’ve hit harder if we didn't have some big-name Hollywood heartthrob hogging the spotlight just because of his persona. It messes with the vibe of the actual plot and themes. In certain stretches, it feels like Clooney is just doing his own thing while the story takes a backseat. It’s a good movie, sure, but it doesn't quite live up to all that Rotten Tomatoes hype or the Oscar buzz you see everywhere.

A really solid film. It’s not some grand fantasy, but it’s more than good enough.

Clooney is the absolute best. 👍

I clearly missed something with this movie, but honestly, that first half hour was just a total drag.

Yeah. And she’s got quite the face for playing that bitch, too.

Absolute masterpiece. If you ask me, it should have walked away with the Oscar for Best Picture,
instead of whatever that weirdly abstract mess from the Coen brothers was.

I just finished watching it, and I honestly don't get how anyone could find it boring. It’s definitely a solid film, but if I'm being completely honest, it didn't exactly blow me away. It’s high quality, sure, but it feels like it’s missing that certain spark... it felt a little too formulaic for my taste.

It’s a bit of an odd, heavy watch, and I'm having a hard time putting my finger on why. It just left me feeling kind of depressed, even though it wasn't anything out of the ordinary...

I picked up the DVD and finally sat down to watch it over the long weekend. I have to say, seeing it a second time actually made it even better than the first viewing. Truly excellent work.
