This new I Am Legend... it starts out great. The first 30 minutes are incredibly tense while Will Smith is alone and everything is still a mystery. Then that Gollum-looking creature shows up and completely ruins the whole movie.

The whole Collateral sequence felt a bit low-budget to me... but honestly, it’s a killer movie overall. My only gripe is how they styled Cruz; I just can't get behind her looking that washed out in all that gray.

The last one I can actually remember was Control.
God, look... as much as I respected Curtis and everything he did, I can't shake the feeling that Anton Corbijn should've just stuck to music videos.
It starts out promising for maybe thirty minutes, but then the whole thing turns into a two-hour slog—probably because they based it on that Deborah Curtis book, which honestly? Total drag. The photography is brilliant, obviously, but that’s really the only reason to watch. It proves Corbijn belonged behind a camera lens for clips, not full features, and the casting was way off too.
If Deborah had actually looked at Ian as an artist instead of just seeing him through the lens of their relationship, this movie might've actually worked.
But as it stands... thumb down.

I’ll probably dig it up later, but right now? All I know is that Panov's Maze, Wind that Bends the Barley, and Bridge to Terabithia were absolute nightmares to deal with because of how they developed. -.-

Zodiac starts off strong, but then it just drags. It felt a bit rushed to me... and then you have people complaining when things don't align perfectly with the actual events. From now on, I’m sticking strictly to movies labeled "based on a true story."

Zodiac is solid, but honestly? It’s way too long-winded.

Yeah—it’s MAGICAL—but it reminded me of that one movie that totally flipped the script on me—started off absolute garbage and then just kept getting better and better—Saw IV. XD
