I’m 16 years old, and I’ve had blood work done twice now, getting the exact same results both times.

Bilirubin is within the normal range
AST is within the normal range
ALT is 80 (normal range is 10-33)
GGT is 41 (normal range is 10-27)
CRP is within the normal range

Can anyone make sense of these numbers for me or offer some advice?

Thanks

AST, ALT, and GGT are liver enzymes, while CRP is a reactive protein produced by the liver; elevated levels can signal acute inflammation.
When those numbers spike, it usually points toward some kind of liver issue. Since you're just a kid—and I'm assuming you aren't touching alcohol—my best advice is to cut way back on greasy fast food and soda. You should also ask your doctor for a hepatitis panel. That could be the culprit here, especially since your ALT is higher than your AST, which is a classic pattern seen with hepatitis. Honestly, your doctor will probably just order those tests anyway without you even having to ask.

Here is a breakdown of all the lab samples, including the ones you're asking about:

Could someone please help me out? What exactly is TIBC, and what kind of insights does it provide regarding my health?

It’s just a minor inflammation... they seem to be quite good, so I suppose there isn't really any reason for you to worry too much.🙂

Got my blood and urine results back today, but I don't have my appointment with the OBGYN until tomorrow. Three of the values are flagged as out of range, and honestly, I'm starting to spiral a little. If anyone happens to be awake and knows their stuff, could you take a look at these? Here’s what I've got:
RBC 4.38 T/L
HGB 133. g/L
HCT .384 L/L
MCV 87.7 fL
MCH 30.5 pg
MCHC 347.g/L
RDW 16.0 %CV

PLT 199. G/L
MPV 10.5 fL

Does anyone have insight on these specific tests?
OGTT/HbA1C
Triglycerides, cholesterol, HDL, LDL
Adiponectin, resistin, leptin, insulin, genetic testing (no referral required)

I understand this mostly involves blood work and a urine sample.
What I need to know is if any of you have gone through this. Where is the best place to get these done? Also, if I have a referral, will there be out-of-pocket costs (and roughly how much), given that my insurance doesn't cover copays?

Thanks in advance.

I know it mostly just boils down to blood work and a urine sample.
What I'm really wondering is if any of you have actually gone through this—where’s the best place to get them done? And if I have a referral from my doctor, do I still have to pay out of pocket (and if so, how much), since I don't have that copay waiver thing?

Thanks in advance!

Since nobody seems to be jumping in to help you—maybe someone with actual medical training can chime in—here's my tiny contribution.
The OGTT is basically your blood sugar test. You usually do that at a hospital (though some private labs might offer it too). Basically, they draw your blood, you chug a glass of glucose water, and then two hours later, they draw it again. As for triglycerides, cholesterol, HDL, and LDL... yeah, more blood work. That's just checking your fats, both the "good" kind and the "stay away from me" kind.
I honestly have zero clue about that last list of stuff.
Whenever I need blood work, I just go to the lab right at my primary care clinic with my insurance referral, so it doesn't cost me a dime.
Hope that helps even a little bit, though you might have already knocked this out already. 👍
