Ugh, help! I haven't been able to go for a few days now and honestly, I feel like I'm dying.

I tried drinking that damn anise tea, but instead of acting as a laxative, it just shut everything down completely. I even did three workouts today thinking it might help, but still nothing.

And the pain is unreal. My lower back, my stomach, even my thighs (I know: 😕).

Anyway, I really need to get things moving tomorrow. Does anyone have a quick fix to get my digestive system working? Ideally something I already have in the pantry or can grab quickly at a CVS or Walgreens.

Thanks!!

For me, senna tea always gets things moving, but it takes a few hours to kick in. Another trick I use is boiled prunes—just let them soak in water for a bit, then pour off the liquid and eat the slimy flaxseed residue 😁 along with the seeds themselves. But honestly, none of this stuff works instantly.

Fair enough. I'm guessing I won't be sleeping much tonight if I want to be able to go in the morning.

Wait, am I supposed to boil the flax with the prunes? Or what?

Dried figs? 😁 Man, those are a total game changer at the beach. Everyone starts snacking on them, and then suddenly there's a massive rush for the restroom.

When you're dealing with a prison system, they tend to go with much more aggressive tactics in a hospital setting... 😉 believe me, things will get moving so fast you won't even have time to make a run for the restroom before it hits you. 😁👍

If you haven't seen any results just yet, I have a little suggestion for you!
You can pick up some Excedrin granules at most local pharmacies, though you can also get them via prescription if you prefer. They actually taste quite pleasant, and since they are often used in higher doses to prep the system before medical procedures, there is really no danger of an accidental overdose.

I used to take Portalak syrup, though you can't really get it over the counter at most pharmacies anymore without a prescription. For simpler remedies, I find that sour cream works wonders for me—whether it's tucked into a savory pastry or baked into some macaroni.

Find some raw apple cider vinegar. Tomorrow morning, take a tablespoon or two mixed into a glass of water—room temperature or slightly warm.
It’ll normalize your digestion, flush out your kidneys and bladder, and stop fat from building up in your system.
Tested and proven.
Just don't overdo it; vinegar is a remedy, and like any remedy, it needs moderation.

Mountain Tea. 🙂

Mountain Tea

The laxative effect comes from combining Senna leaves and Cascara bark.

Chamomile flowers, peppermint leaves, caraway seeds, fennel seeds, juniper berries, and licorice root provide antispasmodic and carminative benefits.

The anthraquinone compounds found in the Senna and Cascara boost large intestine motility, which speeds up bowel movements. We included enough of those antispasmodic and carminative ingredients to help offset any potential cramping or bloating for people with sensitive systems.

Look, if I’m dealing with constipation, my move is to get up early and just smash an apple first thing in the morning. Within an hour, I’m 100% hitting the bathroom—everyone’s got that one thing that gets things moving.

Just watch out so it doesn't pull you in too hard!

Thanks for all the advice, everyone! 😍 I’ll definitely be keeping it all in mind for next time. Especially that tip from ruggedscout91 about using apple cider vinegar. How on earth did I overlook such a simple fix?! 🙏

In the end, I just went out and grabbed some Metamucil fiber gummies... damn, they aren't cheap. $17 😲 😁

But hey, at least it worked. 🙂

Ortho-Lite gives me terrible cramps. Here's a tip—you don't even need to spend money on anything. Just Google "yoga for digestion"... I tried some exercises and my system started working immediately 👍
