James Taylor55 said:I spent the whole evening wondering when they'd start the public executions outside the local pub.

🙄 Just keep going, my dear...
ruggedmoose21 said:about a month or so ago, all those construction crews were swarming around it, leveling everything out. It felt really strange...

They'll probably build some massive shopping mall on that spot...

First, they'll put in a little park. And after that... well, whoever pays the most wins.

I'm jumping in to join the congratulations for Bandit. 👎

And I honestly didn't think they'd tear it down so soon; I figured there was still plenty of time left... 😢

you gotta drink enough to black out in front of some amazing girl and pass out on her couch 😬

Anyway, I gotta find a new couch, this one's officially trashed.

Not even because I puked on it, but because later in the party, some other buddy actually pissed in his sleep while passed out on it... 😬

Even the guy owning the apartment and the couch couldn't handle that much grossness.

And yeah, if you were wondering, I'm done hosting parties. 😳

rustymaker60, that’s low, man. You really had to snatch my post right before I could drop my savage reply... 😬

What on earth happened with the French salad and winter salami situation in the kitchen? Where did it all go wrong? 😁

Anyway, where can an average American—someone who hasn't been completely jaded by life and is over 30—actually hang out in Washington, D.C.? Am I stuck with just guys with mustaches and those overly sensitive types? 😢

stormyviper11 said:rustymaker60, that wasn't fair; you deleted my post before I could even land my witty comeback... 😬

Give me a break, we've turned this place into a total mess—over and out.

Honestly, the Location was the only thing that actually worked... 😕

Great... Washington, D.C. has turned into this wannabe high-end playground—it’s basically just walled itself off from the rest of the world—and now they're even messing with the routes... Honestly, you can barely find any decent rock music playing anywhere in the City anymore.

Honestly, the Location is actually great! It’s easily a three-point boost. It totally makes up for the lack of AC, the western exposure, and all that...

😕 Look, it’s always been a total dump. Wannabe or not, let's be real about it. 😬

They’ll stay on for a couple more days... then there's a two-month gap... and after that, everything gets torn down.

Thanks, Milan... seriously, you're a godsend.

Where did you hear that? I just walked in from over there and nobody's saying a damn thing about it.

Actually, some kind of inspection was sent out. It looks like bands won't be able to play for a little while. They sent an info email directly to the "members."
Ask Pišt and let me know what you find out...

Oh my gosh!! I was actually there just last week, and it really looked like they were putting the finishing touches on everything. They’ve added even more couches and armchairs, and honestly, the outdoor area with all those logs looked absolutely lovely...
Does anyone know when they're officially closing down? I'd love to squeeze in at least one last farewell drink before they shut the doors for good...😢

Isn't it just a reduction in gigs? I got that email myself. There’s a show tomorrow, and then there's the blues gig this Sunday for that book launch about Robert Johnson.

I’ve got a feeling that the spot where that Chase park is now used to be owned by some local big shots, but from what I heard, they couldn't settle their beef over the property rights, so they just gave up and turned it into a park instead.

Chase bought it up, but they wouldn't let them build anything significant, so they sold the land back to the City for a massive profit 🙄 , which is how things usually work around here... So, until some other shady developer comes along, we'll just have this playground for the kids.
And probably a spot for some older kids to hang out, too... 😁

All we needed was one more massive avenue mall... honestly, screw whoever greenlit that giant shopping center right in the heart of downtown Washington, D.C.... now we’ve got total gridlock where there used to be nothing... great job.
listen to the experts sometimes, you idiots.🙂

Ugh, here we go again. Honestly, this just gives me more reason to stick with my cycling routine... maybe the higher-ups in Washington, D.C. actually had a bigger plan all along—GET EVERYONE ON BIKES!!!

😲

Still, I find it hard to believe they could be that much of absolute villains... pure evil, really. :hororčina:

James Taylor55 said:I'm only gonna have to endure being at a Route 66 show for some biker-rock band exactly once in my life. Total disaster. You've got the Confederate flag flying around paired with a jukebox blasting Bon Jovi hits... honestly, the whole night I was just waiting for the inevitable moment someone starts a riot outside the bar. So yeah, definitely not my loss.

🤣

man, a shame about Route 66 though... could've been a decent little country spot if they hadn't totally trashed it.
Gonna blast Van Morrison for a bit later. 🙂 🙂
