For those who live and breathe animation, Pixar has cooked up a little something special. πŸ™‚

Has anyone caught this yet, or is it on your watchlist? From what I can gatherβ€”and I do try to stay currentβ€”it seems quite solid; the reviews have been surprisingly positive. πŸ‘
It’s about this little rat with big dreams of becoming a chefβ€”quite the underdog storyβ€”set against the backdrop of Paris, which looks absolutely stunning on screen. 😍

Caught this one last night. Honestly, it’s easily my favorite Pixar movie so far. Even the voice actingβ€”which usually isn't my thingβ€”was spot on (the main mouse's dad reminds me so much of a classic old-school jazz legend πŸ™‚). Definitely worth a watch if you get the chance.

I caught the English version last night as well. Honestly? It was a solid watchβ€”I actually quite enjoyed it. πŸ™‚

That whole sequence at the start involving the aliens had me completely thrown offβ€”wasn't sure if it was a standalone segment or part of the main plotβ€”but overall, I wasn't complaining. 😁

The aliens thing isn't even part of the movie. It’s just some separate little end credit bit from Juhu-h πŸ˜› Pixar does this all the time, pairing shorts with their big features. Usually those shorts end up in the Oscar race for best animated short... but I don't know about this alien one, feels a bit thin compared to their other stuff. That's why Juhu-h is actually solid πŸ™‚

The movie is fantastic. The characters are just top-tier. Especially those chefs.
Horst: "I robbed The second largest Bank in Franc using only a ball-point pen.", "I created a hole in the ozone layer over Avignon.", "I killed a man... with this thumb."... 😁

I haven't actually sat down to watch the movie yet, but I've heard nothing but good things about it, so I was wondering if maybe one of you guys could just shoot me a link or send it over via DM??? 😁 I've got a massive collection of movies myself, so I wouldn't mind checking out some of yours too... please

I caught this recentlyβ€”honestly, the law is such a trip 😍.
Also, I was totally vibing with Flushed Away πŸ™‚.
Seriously, I'd much rather hit up the theater for stuff like this than sit through some "epic" live-action flick 😁

That alien sequence at the start is actually part of the movie! Did anyone else catch that guy in the bed? It’s Linguini. For some reason, it didn't feel like it belonged to the film at first, but I finally put it together by the end.

So, yeah, that was definitely Linguini, but there is absolutely zero connection to the actual plot, 😁. Plus, you have that Pixar logo popping up right after, which basically acts as a bufferβ€”they're separate things entirely.
Linguini lives in Paris, whereas that scene took place out in the middle of nowhere, just some field outside the city limits. 😁
I'm telling you, it completely threw me off.

I suspect those might be the little shorts that slyrider16 was mentioning earlier.

Best animated movie I’ve ever seenβ€”honestly. I also loved that one with the surfing penguins, I think it’s called Surf's Up or something like that.

Exactly. πŸ™‚ I actually sat through Surf's Up just the other day, and then watched Ratatouille right after. They're both pretty decent flicks. 😍>

The crtiΔ‡ is genius. I guess almost everything Pixar puts out blows me away. πŸ‘

An absolutely stellar animation... Truly one of the finest pieces I’ve had the pleasure of watching lately.... If you haven't seen it yet, consider this your mandatory viewing instruction.
