You’re talking about the Lapidarium with such sweet, nostalgic vibes from the early eighties—it's wild to think some of the women who helped kickstart Tomo’s (is that being ironic? I guess so...) ego trip are actually younger than me now 😲 My god, HW, how old were you even back then?!

Thanks to that wonderful habit of those swampy club DJs—listing every single band on the flyer or the lineup—I managed to successfully dodge that Florida-style amateur DJ during all my years of partying in New York🙂 except for those few times when the club hosted those massive, overpriced blowout parties costing eight hundred bucks🙂
I mean, I am being dead serious here: playing The Smiths and the Red Hot Chili Peppers in the same set? That is just madness.🙂

I think I went to that museum maybe twice back in the day—right around when it was actually still open for business. Honestly, I don't really remember anything worth mentioning. It’s not like I was out drinking or anything. Seriously, I wasn't! But man, I swear my high school Greek teacher used to mess with me constantly by using that museum 😕

I honestly don't get club owners or bar managers who let these kinds of "DJs" take over the booth... especially when they're just handing them a few bucks for a Sunday afternoon set...🙂

Honestly, the quality of DJing in America is pretty much hitting rock bottom right now.
I mean, just look at those so-called "club nights"—where they don't even bother with a real repertoire, but instead stick to the exact same ORDER OF TRACKS (!!!) for months on end—it’s just zero creativity. Anything else—like a DJ who actually gives a damn about their craft and genuinely loves the music—is basically a drop in the ocean and the rare exception that proves the rule.
