Dealing with folliculitis: Any tips for relief?

Hi everyone...
I was wondering if anyone else here deals with chronic folliculitis, specifically those stubborn hair follicle inflammations, and more importantly, how you actually managed to get it under control...
It’s been an ongoing battle for quite some time now; apparently, my electric epilator triggered the whole mess, so I’ve tried everything from laser treatments to various exfoliating creams... just about every remedy out there...

To be fair, things have finally settled down after nearly two years, but I’m worried because I've heard that permanent scarring is a common side effect, which is the last thing any of us want...😉 so I would truly appreciate hearing about your own experiences or any advice you might have...🙂

Dermatology isn't exactly my specialty, but I suspect folliculitis rarely leaves permanent scarring unless the inflammation spreads enough to cause cellulitis...
You definitely need to target the root cause; those stubborn bacteria living around the hair follicles have to be eliminated, they really must.
