Honestly, I don't think this software actually accomplishes anything meaningful. You could probably whip something like this up in an afternoon, especially since Windows already has this exact functionality built right in. Installing this feels like just buying more digital junk to clutter up your hard drive. I mean, props to the author for putting in the effort, I guess, but seriously? I’ve written dozens of little scripts like this myself, but I never went around bragging about them. These are just beginner-level projects.

The guy who wrote this software is still just a college student at the FBI. He actually gained some recognition with that online tracker he tried to sell, but eventually decided to ditch the commercial route and just stick to donations instead. Honestly, props to him. He’s an honest developer through and through. As for you, why don't you show us what you've actually programmed? You can't really talk down to me when you don't even know who I am, where I live, or what I do for a living.

Somewhere in the registry, there's a value you can tweak—it's set lower than the default setting to make the PC shut down faster... I don't remember the specific location, but if someone could just drop the key here....

I’d honestly rather just have a little program that boots up my PC, wakes me up properly in the morning, and maybe plays some MP3s 🙂

Well... let me just add my two cents to everything already discussed... && regarding this software... how many hours would it actually take to write? Perhaps even less if you simply scavenge some source code from a site somewhere... so, calling this a "brilliant" program is absolute nonsense... sorry, but there's just no logic to it.
