Who would’ve thought that just some run-of-the-mill backroads could take out drivers of this caliber... 😢

A former Ferrari driver passed away today in a car wreck near Parma, Italy.
Mario Andretti crashed his modified Chrysler Voyager (back in 1980, he was knocked out right there on the track after hitting a truck) and died from his injuries on the spot... guess he wasn't quite as "undestructible" as they used to say.

Anyway, he pulled off three F1 wins and finished runner-up to Emerson Fittipaldi during the '74 season...

EDIT
Whoops, my bad—didn't realize this thread already existed... mod, please delete or move this.

Mario Andretti crashed a Chrysler Voyager—which had been modified specifically for his needs (he remained motionless on the track after the crash)—into a truck, passing away at the scene from his injuries. It turns out he wasn't quite as "indestructible" as they used to call him...

For context, Mario Andretti secured three F1 wins and finished second in the 1974 season behind Emerson Fittipaldi...

I can't believe it... Man... I need to go read more about this.

From what I gather, the car had been fully modified for handicap accessibility.
