Items for sale:

GOOD RIDDANCE "a comprehensive guide...", used condition but plays perfectly with zero damage. It’s even signed by the bassist if anyone cares... say $70?
RISE AGAINST "siren song...", brand new, also $70.
AGNOSTIC FRONT "something's gotta give", used, a bit scuffed up, maybe $40 if you're feeling generous.

Buy more, pay less—that's how it works...

Seriously, people, just go grab "Crossing the Red Sea with the Adverts." It isn't expensive, and honestly, it's easily the best punk record from '77 out there. 😢

(Or at least pick up one of the three, alongside "Damned Damned Damned" and "The Scream").

I've been looking through ads and about sixty other deals on the list, but what happens when the guy is charging double the price? 😢 I mean, look at Virgin Prunes on amazon.com—it's $8 there, but he's asking $37 🤷

Yeah, most of his stuff is overpriced, but $22 for a deluxe disc with the booklet and all those extras... it’s not bad. No matter where you order it from, you're looking at $10–$12, which is pretty standard, though you still have to deal with waiting a week, two weeks, maybe even five before it actually shows up... assuming this is even the version with the bonus singles?

I'm looking to part with my Dream Theater collection, which includes:

The studio albums:
When Dream and Day Unite
Images and Words
Awake
A Change of Seasons
Falling into Infinity
Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory
Train of Thought
Octavarium

The live stuff:
Once in a Livetime
Live Scenes from New York
Live at Budokan
plus a bootleg of Master of Puppets titled Listen to this Lars—really hoping to pass that one along to a good home!

DVD:
Metropolis 2000: Scenes from New York

All the albums are priced by $17, and I'll let the DVD go for $70.

...Alright, I'll admit it, those Virgin Prunes releases are pricey if you aren't grabbing them off amazon.com (it's like $8.79 plus $6.40 shipping, or even more if you're looking elsewhere), but I can't really agree about the rest of them. A huge chunk of these titles have been out of print forever! (Think stuff like A Certain Ratio, 23skidoo, some Death in June, Psychic TV...). Seriously, let me know which specific ones people think are "double the price" so I can fix my listings and get things sorted out...

Good grief, I can't sell a single thing.

This time I actually tried being civil and didn't... hmmm... resort to using "brutal honesty" as a marketing tactic.

It looks like there’s a massive geeky aluminum-alloy sect in Chicago that spends all their energy obsessing over heretical, rectangular rock—you know, that so-called post-rock or math-rock nonsense. They have plenty of followers.

I didn't even go as far as describing Rodan as music for moody teenagers who are perpetually stuck in the middle of a mid-life crisis at age 21.

But hey, that aggressive Metallica-core stuff? That sells instantly.

Unbelievable.

Whatever!

analogharbor442 said:Hey, do you have anything by Queen or King Crimson?

What kind of grotesque monstrosity is that—trying to lump a supergroup together with RF and FM?

Side note/digression here:

Queen is basically banned from my house most of the time because of those inappropriate vocal gymnastics and, frankly, Freddie Mercury’s looks. Now, you can play them at weddings, parties, or some local fair, sure. But King Crimson? That prog outfit completely crushes the entire modern math-rock genre with their heavy riffs, virtuoso drumming, and all that high-level technical stuff. Period.

And the inevitable conclusion:

No matter how you spin history, one wins out over the other. There.

Just one more red nightmare.

Fa fa fa fa!

By all means, please, keep on buying.

Man, I was being such a jerk to the younger generation yesterday. Honestly, feeling pretty bad about it. 😳

I think I’m just going to go lock myself away in the basement of my past. Everything was better before the nineties.

Currently playing: June of '44, Rodan, Sleater-Kinney.

Listen, whether you're feeling bright or blue, if we can pull off this deal in April, I'll whip up a custom burned CD of synth tracks for the tour van and throw in an Ultravox *Vienna* CD as a gift.
