Hormonal pills and hair loss

So, here's the deal—I've been wondering about how messing with hormone pills actually plays out with hair growth and thinning. Like, strictly speaking, if my hair is thinning because of some issues with my ovaries, would taking those meds to fix the hormonal imbalance actually bring my hair density back to where it should be? Can you even fix the hair situation just by balancing the hormones?

She’s probably talking about PCOS, which can actually cause thinning or baldness in the 😁 scalp area in certain cases.
As far as I know, therapy should help normalize the hair loss 🙂

restlessmarlin6, you’re totally hitting the nail on the head regarding PCOS. So, what I'm hearing is—is it basically "goodbye" to hair loss if I actually stick to the pills? Because my friend is out here telling me that those meds actually make your hair fall out even faster, which is just great, right?
I am currently having a total meltdown over my zinc and gin levels. Honestly, who even knows anymore? I won't get the actual results back for another week, so I'm just sitting here in suspense. 🙂

Lately, my hair has been thinning out so badly it’s actually terrifying. I’d go as far as to say I have half the volume I used to have.
The only thing I can think of linking this mess is the Yasmin birth control pills I've been taking. Has anyone else dealt with side effects like this? Is it even possible for the pills to cause this kind of fallout?

I didn't deal with any hair loss myself, but the treatment definitely cleared up all my other symptoms. 👍 Maybe do a little bit of your own research online; I shouldn't have to do all the legwork for you. 😁
And please, just go see a doctor. Seriously. 👍

It’s definitely possible. I went through the exact same thing with birth control tablets. My doctor put me on Triovril (or some other brand, I can't quite remember which one), and my hair volume literally felt cut in half! I ended up switching to a different method of protection altogether.

Hey everyone...
I was on Logest for about six months straight...
And honestly, I didn't have any side effects, well, nothing except for some really noticeable hair thinning...
Once I finally stopped taking them, my hair actually started growing back thicker...
But I know for a fact it was because of the pills...
It’s funny how it works, you know? Some women deal with unwanted hair growth and weight gain, while others take these pills and end up looking fuller in all the right places...
That's just the way it goes, I guess.
I'm not touching them anymore...
I've switched over to a different form of birth control...
